The biggest problem with Math is that they don't teach it properly. They teach people the algorithms but not the thought process involved that derives the formulas used in the first place. That's more important and more applicable. This is one of the goals of Common Core Math.

And crypto is the future. I implore you all to start learning about the technology and its applications; smart contracts, the insane flexibility and fluidity of moving funds, the oracle problem preventing smart contracts from having a real use case. This is going to change the world, how contracts are created, down to the very idea of trusting a man's word. That will be a thing of the past. Even if you have no interest or aren't ready to invest, do keep an eye on what all the big name tech companies and what nations are actively researching and investigating on.

Imo schools should primarily teach three things: writing, history, and philosophy. From middle school and up, I say. After that, if you're interested in any other subjects, you're free to pick and choose. But kids, humans in general, need to know their history, how to articulate themselves, and do it in a rigorous manner.

Remember the purpose of having others understand your plight. You want to garner sympathy so you can gain their support.

These statements contribute to the notion that minority races are exclusive and people outside of that are not one of them and can't relate even though they all live in the same society. And if they can't relate, they will care less and less and the minority groups trying to move ahead won't make any progress.

Success, regardless of most contexts, is dependent on inclusivity, not exclusivity. There's strength in numbers as they say. So treat them as your own and as your equals. Treating the "others" as 2nd class citizens is detrimental to your cause and will backstab if they're the very ones you're also trying to appeal to.

I don't get that either. I can probably count on one hand the times I have felt like I was doing something that mattered when I was on the clock/in the office. If I'm doing something meaningful, it's almost always on my own time. The few times it's not, my boss doesn't know I'm doing it.

If you can keep yourself busy that's solid. I'm on an investment board and we constantly hear from those who made it already. They keep talking about how difficult it is to do something meaningful with their lives as they no longer need to work and traveling and partying got old for them.

Personally, I have a few projects in mind so I don't believe I'll have this problem when my opportunity to jump out of the rat race comes. I want to learn to make more money and learn how convert wealth into power.

You start finding other opportunities and other people present other opportunities to you as long as you're in the environment as they support their own and make sure "foreigners" stay out.

A good example of this with Chainlink, this week, we've had an unprecedented level of coordinated FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt), where a number of news outlets released articles calling Chainlink a Pump and Dump. When one of our community members reached out to one of the authors, being upset that none of the authors reached out to the Chainlink team for a response out of journalistic integrity, the author said she was given a press release and was told to write on it. As dishonest as these articles are, they're working as a good number of people who bought in within the past couple of months sold off to hedge their losses and the price is now almost half what it used to be. It's ~$1.60 right now. And all the while, big whales are buying up their bags and we even have a new wallet created with nearly 3 million tokens deposited in.

No. I just think it's biological differences that give men the advantage. If the only jobs available were physical labor, men are going to have the leg up.

Though I say this, as you said, the power the leads have determine the dynamics of the culture. I hear when the first set of Europeans came to the New World, a good number of them, both young men and women, defected to Native American tribes due to power and authority being more balanced in their communities. For instance, women in the tribes had much more autonomy than in the early settlements and each person in the tribe had to contribute, which in turn gave them a stronger sense of purpose.

You seem to have an opinion on this already that you were alluding to so please, elaborate.

Do realize that it's because of advancing technologies, women are able to financially contribute as much as men. Just a few hundred years back, women were relying on men to do jobs they physically weren't able to (this is still true today in certain fields, just nowhere near as numerous) and those were among the few jobs available to provide for the family.

There are differences between the gender, don't try to rank them but at least acknowledge their differences.

I wouldn't say lazy, but it came off as he's really bitter about the current environment for comedians. Both Burr and Dave talk about this, both on stage and in interviews how they keep getting reactions on opposite spectrum to their jokes. Where they do one show, people love it and even the demographic they targeted was slapping their knee laughing. Then at another show, someone looks visibly shaken and emotionally scarred upon reaction to the joke. I am 158 lbs and am trying to cut down to 145 lbs. Yeah, it's nothing compared to the odysseys you guys are going through, but I just want to say I am learning a lot here. I've had a slightly active lifestyle in that I would walk everywhere. I used to work as a cook and I would eat like crazy but I didn't have to worry about putting on weight since I had to walk up a steep hill for 15 minutes to get to work everyday. Nowadays, I am in a better paying, less stress white collar job. I don't have that same "luxuries" I used to have with my cooking job but I maintain the same diet while drinking more so this weight gain is apparent to me and drives me nuts. Luckily, a friend is dragging me to the gym so we can get to working out regularly again. Problem is I'm terrible at committing to these types of things. It needs to be integrated into my life for me to work out. This is why I never had upper strength, I never had anything that forced me to build up my arms to where I want it to be.

And (sort of relevant) in this mobile gacha game, Fire Emblem Heroes, I've finally declared to myself I'm going to commit to hoarding big time, saving the ingame currency of up to 3000 orbs from my ~1000 count now which should take me around 6 months and during that declaration, I told myself I wasn't going to drink anymore alcohol for this hoarding budge since it has gotten to the point where I got a memory lapse and forgot to close my fridge door. This I have no problem fully committing, I have to go on leave soon and so the money is going to dry up and I used to drink cause I was so bored at work.

I really don't know how I'm going to do lifestyle diet change in terms of calorie consumption. I like to eat and I need my pasta. And when I cook pasta, it's almost always with alfredo. I can't get away from cheesy, milky goodness. But I will try the recipes mentioned here.

Indeed. But hey, the easier the task and more widespread it's used, the less valuable the payouts are. The more difficult the task is, generally the higher payout the reward will be. Of course, there's nothing wrong with buying a house if you're looking to rent it out. I'm not at all a real estate buff but people are saying that we're in a housing bubble that's about to pop.

All I'm advocating is to not be complacent with a 401K and do spend some time investing in your financial education; learning to invest (this sounds circular). There's a lot of manipulation going on in the financial markets and inflation is such a ruthless force of nature that is stripping the middle class of its spending power that I can't stay quiet about savings accounts. It's a losing game trying to save; you have to do a lot more now. You're better off buying assets that either appreciate or maintain their value or straight up look for passive income.

I don't like that, as your savings are still subject to inflation and at the rate we're going, you'll only continue to lose value unless you hedge with precious metals or invest in something else. Are you guys paying attention to the blockchain industry? There's a lot of developments going on with a big focus on creating stablecoins, world reserve currencies like Facebook's Libra coin or Reserve Rights (RSR). I believe they pose a threat to the US dollar as the USD is the current world reserve currency that everyone does their trading in.

I'm not recommending you invest in these (not that I can right now in good conscience, need to do more research), I would recommend keeping an eye out on these developments as distributed ledger technology is being adapted by so many organizations and nations. And toppling the US dollar is on the to do list with DLTs.

If you understand the power of smart contracts, and you understand how Chainlink enables its full potential, you will realize that if you buy in, you're gonna be rich. If you don't understand it, you'll be apprehensive and with stubborn ignorance, you'll think it'll all be a scam, and then be one of the losers of the aftermath of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Luckily, for you, I've compiled a handy dandy starter pack to help you get started to learn all this. Take a week or so and spend some time every day just reading up on this. Maybe go on 4chan's business board and ask what smart contracts will do for them.
