Even those who have saved up a good amount have a high chance of getting a major medical expense, losing their job, or having their spouse get cancer. No one Is safe

This is why it's important to elect the right political leaders. People with a vision for this country that inspires people and gets them motivated. There's no better time than now to make a difference, follow your congressman, governor, mayor and all other state representatives on Twitter and tweet to them how you feel. I'm surprised more people don't do this.

Try telling that to the politicians in california who bend over for dumb shit instead of fixing the problems.

Then elect new people into office who do care and have real solutions. I know it's easier said than done but never before have people been so connected and had the opportunity to influence masses. Hit up popular YouTube channels and pay them to spread your message, get creative. Imagine if people actually took some initiative and did what was right, we could be living in paradise.

If things continue at the pace they currently are it's very likely that people alive today could live to biblical ages. We're talking about longevity and reverse aging interventions. Interventions that'll be better everytime. Say you get a shot that extends your healthy lifespan 20 years, so that when you're biologically 60 you're physically and mentally 40, by the time you reach 60 again that intervention will be even better and could bring you back to your 20s.

It's not unthinkable. I would have to live to 111 but some people live several years longer. Just s few years ago we still had a handful of people alive who were born before 1900.

But anyway, I don't anticipate 2100 being that advanced. At least not from an average civilian's perspective. Different in fashion, sure, but if I simply extrapolate my last 30 years over the next 81, nothing has really changed except for quantites, so not a lot would be expected to change tbh except for quantities.

In '89, we more or less had Internet, though the standards weren't as sophisticated yet, we had video games, we had cameras, we sent data wirelessly, we had digitized all forms of media, etc. etc.

We still don't know how to cure cancer, we still haven't done anything new in space (just done it farther away), cars still don't fly, etc. etc.

The only differences were your camera, telephone and transceiver weren't all the same device, it took longer and was harder to download stuff, and you had like a thousandth the terrible opinions and trivial information drowning you at all times.

GPS is big, 3D printing is medium, and the driverless car will be good if they ever f***ing roll them out on a large scale, which I'm frankly starting to lose hope for.

Military technology has made great strides but don't expect to see civil laser cannons or lightning guns. And I'm sure medicine has made awesome strides but the average civilian doesn't know or have any reason to care.

Sure, they're gonna make new stuff but it'll mostly just increase download speeds or whatever. I have no idea why on Earth people make futuristic fiction and put hilariously short timeframes on it that we miss by decades if not centuries every single time.

You are severely underestimating advances in technology. Tesla will be deploying robo taxis by fall of next year, they are set to disrupt the transportation industry by cutting the costs of transportation to less than 20 cents per mile. In comparison, Uber charges 2-3$ per mile right now. Right now, medical records are being uploaded to DBMS software, this means a revolution in the medical industry is coming because simple artificial intelligence software will give doctors access to medical interventions that work and take less of the guess work out. I can go on, but the difference between now and a few years from now and the early 90s won't just be simple things like signal strength and application accessibility, the whole world is currently undergoing another industrial revolution.

I've felt like closing my account at times, or just posting a bunch of messed up stuff and getting b&, but I kept finding new places on this site that kept me amused. In my 15 years being on this site I haven't been on CE til last year or so and I've gotten modded so badly on this particular subsection of gfaqs, I thought the problem was everyone on here cuz I'd get so easily triggered but I took a look in the mirror and realized how crazy I was behaving on this we sight. I stopped cursing and started putting in real effort into my posts and I no longer get bothered by anything and actually feel like I'm a helpful contributor.

"hey Alexa, turn off TV" *5 seconds pass* "okay turning off TV"

*presses power button and TV turns off instsntly*

I couldn't make it through the whole video, the whole thing was really making me cringe. That's almost as creepy as a haunted house. Motion activated cameras everywhere, emotionless voice devices all over, does the chick with the obnoxious desire to show cleavage at least come with the house?

You didn't like San junipero, nosedive, playtest or men against fire? Crazy.

I'm hyped, I thought for sure it'd be another 6 months before we got a new installment of black mirror with bandersnatch coming out new years.

Stop drinking pop or any sugary drinks, stop drinking alcohol, limit your sugar and salt intake, stop eating out and only eat home cooked meals, stop buying chips and cookies and deserts.

Eat more vegetables and fruits, eat more lean protein, drink 0% fat milk, start eating seeds and nuts.

Dude after 25 if a woman isn't getting consistent d she gets desperate and more desperate as the time keeps passing. You've literally got nothing to worry about if you don't got a long penis, what really matters is if you can satisfy HER insecurities, not your own.

This is really not the case tc. Work is fulfilling, it gives one purpose. Even billionaires don't sit around just playing fortnite every day with their billionaire friends, they get involved, they have ambitions and passions. You need to seriously rethink what "fun" is.
