Tom Perez and the DNC understand that the few remaining sites left (the satellites), are heavily in favour of Sanders and thus are going to swing the results in his favour in terms of even the state deligate equivalents, rather than just the raw vote totals, giving him unequivocal victory. So, they are now demanding a recanvas/recount from the Iowa Democratic Party. This presumably won't change the fact that Sanders won but it's likely to delay any official announcement of a winner even after the NH primary. Essentially nullifying the Iowa caucus entirely. |

To answer, i'd say smart bet is it's coming. He's probably already been being pressured to do so. He may already have agreed to and it's being planned just how and when to implement it. But I'd also imagine he really doesn't want to have to do that. If he goes publicly full bore at Sanders, it'll have an effect, but it also largely sacrifices his saintly public image and he cares about that. But preventing a takeover of the party is doubtless more important. |
