You'll be hard pressed to find a 60+ hour RPG this day and age. Persona 5(R) and the Cold Steel games are the only ones that come to mind. Maybe Dragon Quest XI but I never played it so I can't comment.

Xenoblade games easily last that long.

Some customers get extra shitty during these times (some people honestly get pissed at the "six foot rule" and try to blame it on us somehow), but I always try to be accomodating despite it. It's rough right now and the last thing people need is hostility or cold behavior.

that's a fair point, for instance, in the evil within 2, i was basically rambo at the tail end of the game. i just wish they'd do something more to make subsequent playthroughs fresh and interesting if it's intended to be played through multiple times like people say

To be fair there's usually stuff like super weapons or infinite ammo cheats that unlock after beating the game or doing special runthroughs, and those tended to be classic replayability for these games before stuff like mercs or raid mode came about.

I thought Luigi's Mansion 3 was fun, but I kinda agree on the part that it gets repetitive. I think for the kind of gameplay loop Luigi's Mansion provides it's better suited as a short game. Trying to extend it makes it seem like it's dragging.

The one thing I'm surprised about is the hurrican vacuum powerup. It got used only once or twice and not in a way I'd expect it to be used...like against the final boss.

You seem to underestimate the selling power Final Fantasy still has.

Anyway, as for my opinion...I wish they could've gone with a straight remake instead of trying to make it canon with the original FFVII with this Watchers of Fate shit (at least that's how I understand it...I'm not gonna bother to research anymore and spoil myself completely) but I'm still looking forward to it. If the demo was anything to go by the game's gonna be a blast to play regardless.

It's so amazing seeing the drastic turnaround of public opinion on TLOU and Naughty Dog in general. People used to love this company even as soon as last gen.

I was looking forward to TLOU 2 but I'm glad for the delay since it means it won't be fighting for attention with Xenoblade out the same day.

I've had plenty of extremely fun experiences with short, full-priced games, including RE7 and RE2 remake. Never regretted any of them. Why should this one be any different?

That said...FFVII Remake is literally right around the corner and I'm still busy with Doom Eternal so RE3 remake may have to wait anyway.

For some reason I've been having an easy time finding items and secrets compared to the 2016 game. But the combat is much harder so it balances out.

Game is just so much fun though.
