Which was...a little misleading if nothing else (this was a week or two before she got a Super PAC granted, but Bernie had some small progressive PACs listed and Warren also had some of the same PACs).

Unless we are down to 2, maybe 3 candidates (minus Gabbard) after Super Tuesday it'll be hard/impossible for someone to have a majority.

With Buttiegieg dropping my prediction is we will be down to 3, maybe 2 candidates by Saturday.

it's not about the two of them, it's about the public. the progessive wing has all but disowned warren now. hell, more than disowned at this point. her name seems to conjure bile in the throats of so many of us.

If the progressive wing is that soft and fickle you might as well just give up because it will never get anywhere. I'd like to believe it's not.

Maybe it is with the young 18 to like 23 crowd that floods Twitter but people that young are still developing out of their stupidity. They'll get over it as fast as they get over Fortnite or whatever other recent craze they had.

Dont be worried about this. At the end of the day they are both professional politicians. They absolutely know the score when it comes to things like this.

Also surprised how many people find this normal. I've seen plenty of different families pray before eating, that isn't strange. But usually it's now your heads maybe put your own hands together and then pray. The linking hands thing is something I've never seen at dinner.

Some of you might remember some of my catholic church topics. i remember putting hands together and joining aisles for Our Father but even they have actually ended this practice(they seemed to amend it to just raising your arms out towards each other). Not that they didn't somehow keep 3 or 4 other unsanitary practices including drinking from the same horrible cup of wine..

I think the most unchill I got was being silently annoyed that the prayer was being dragged on too long and I was very much hungry and ready to eat. But I've been to enough professional sports events where the national anthem is either horrible or dragged on to the point of exhaustion that I'm pretty sure i can poker face things like this without notice.

I think you overestimate my level of "chill" . I find their practice unsanitary and their prayer hollow but I don't think I was ever unchill about it.

The prayer is fine, they definitely made it more awkward than it needed to be but it's a fairly normal thing I've seen other families do.

Its just the gathering after being outside, touching hands, and then touching food thing that really bothers me. At the very least handwashing should be implemented somewhere.

I was silent.

Also not being judgmental, keep in mind I know these people pretty well. It's not like these are people I see once a year.

Not a normal practice for us and the guy leading the prayer was my older cousins husband, and him not being very articulate made it a 2 minute speech of sentences all saying the same thing.

Also he hasn't worked since he married her and one of her previous husbands was a crook(she was in on most of his thefts and schemes so no innocence here). My theory on this one is drug dealer but who knows.

Most of the younger ones involved in the prayer are only religious to excuse their faults and not the practice what you preach types. So I find the whole ritual hollow.

Warren voters break extremely highly for Bernie, disproportionately higher than any other second choice for any other canditate. Last poll I saw had 38% of her voters going to Sanders if she drops with the next-highest being 16%. I seriously doubt she's staying in to assist him.

If she drops and then Buttiegieg and Klobuchar drop shortly after...

It used to be a normal thing for families to hold hands while praying. It's very unlikely that if you had participated the germs would have killed you.

It would not, but doing this regularly over a long period of time definitely is going to spread germs you otherwise wouldn't spread.

Readily available and people using it does not always go together.

Ranked choice primary is the only way to go but it will never happen. Caucuses are good in that they fall closer to this line but are completely terrible in every other possible way to negate any benefit from this.

I always thought churches were germ factories but this just means it probably doesn't matter for most of those people anyway.

Apparently someone in the US died of coronavirus and the government couldn't even get the gender of the person straight.

Also we don't do birthday topics enough because today being the 29th means yesterday was Ermines birthday.

And that made me realize I aged her a year she is 8 my other cousin is 9.

Her actual birthday was yesterday the 28th.

She was actually a day earlier than expected as well so unlucky for her.

So here at my uncles for one of my cousins birthday(she's 9).

Family decides they are going to pray before eating dinner. We aren't a praying family but I guess this little section does to try to excuse all their life problems(a few former alcoholics among other things).

But where they totally weirded me out was that they decided everyone should hold hangs in prayer. Before eating. Before serving food and putting their hands on said food and then putting it in their mouth.

And none of them washed their hands after. I dont know if any washed their hands before.

For the record i did not participate they asked me and I was like "nope".

Probably voting Warren in part for encouraging numbers for a 2024 run.

Also to try to keep Bloomberg out of second place.

Nope Bloomberg has spent so much money dont be surprised if he outperforms projections on Tuesday. They are on almost every commercial break.

I'm honestly not sure if at this point if quarantine matters anymore. With how spread it is, it is bound to come back regardless.

Got to minimize as much as you can so that the summer months can basically eradicate the disease like SARS. April is the optimistic viewpoint I'd wager.

I frequent both for fun and work places that typically have tens of thousands of people gathered at once so I am hoping we can keep a handle on this thing here.

The only good thing is here in Cali we should already be prepared with supplies if we have to quarantine just because we always have the risk of a major earthquake looming over us

I can absolutely guarantee that if your political views are anywhere left of center on any topic you care to name, any Democratic candidate will move the country closer to what you want than Trump will.

I'm going to say Bloomberg moves us specifically in the Trump direction by moving both parties in the direction of only electing dumb stupid rich white dudes.

Yeah I mean this is solid, and people should pay more attention to local downballot races in general. If there's a good senate or house candidate I don't see why they should necessarily pay the price for party fuckery.

Best bet is whatever happens people continue to not pay attention to those downballot races. Young people are entitled as fuck and want what they think is an easy answer in Bernie but are unlikely to come out beyond that. At least not in the areas you'd need them to do so.
