What gets me is that aside from maybe ramen, people aren't stocking up on non-perishable foods. Those are kinda needed too for a possible lockdown emergency.

I'm a little interested in Nioh 2, but haven't played the first so might wait on that. But the 20th has Doom Eternal, 31st has Persona 5 Royal, and then April has RE3 Remake and FFVII Remake. God damn.

I feel like the movie had a lot of family-oriented jokes. Like there's jokes and references for kids but there's also jokes and references for adults who grew up with the franchise. It's a really well-done movie.

It's really cool to see how they expanded and changed some areas in the remake. I'm at least aiming to get past the Midgar section before the remake comes out. Should be easy but I don't have much gaming time these days.

The PT has some great things going for it. Under the veneer of awful dialog and craptastic directing, there's some amazing worldbuilding and a pretty good plot arc. It's mainly the delivery that makes it borderline unwatchable.

The ST is the exact opposite in many ways-- it features haphazard worldbuilding and an aimless plot, yet the minute-to-minute dialog and acting makes me care about the characters. The ST is definitely easier for me to rewatch.

This is exactly how I feel about them.

True, but it doesn't have the same production values. Square Enix likes to make Final Fantasy some of their best-looking games so it makes sense why they wouldn't have the budget to make them the way they used to (which is unfortunate).

Sometimes I wonder if the "gaming community" just has impossibly high standards. I haven't played FFXV or KH3 yet, but this has proven true that I still enjoyed tons of games that are considered trash-tier by some.

Well my main concern is whether or not the content is gonna be meaningful or just filler garbage. There was a concerning screenshot I saw where they were looking at a generic side quest job board and one of the quests was literally killing rats.

Like if that's gonna be the bulk of the additional content it's gonna be pretty disappointing.

Hope not. With Nomura saying they approached sidequests with the mindset of "quality" it's gonna be laughable if that's all they are.

I spent way too much time on guard scorpion dude, but only because I didnt quite have the hang of the combat. Ill definitely have gotten it down before the game releases tho. Other than that, I thought it was fantastic, and cant wait for more.

The way people are figuring out how to speedrun that boss alone with how little options you have gives me hope for the full game's combat system. I think a sub 3-minute run of that boss exists, which is incredible.

I cant fathom people who are all butthurt that the game isnt the whole story. They would rather they skimp and cramp the whole game into one mediocre package rather than get this epic detailed multi game version we are getting. Its sad.

The only issue with it is because the original story already exists. If this were somehow a brand new FF title people wouldn't have any issues with the story being split up, I nearly guarantee it.

Nomura said the game has 50-60 hours worth of content, and the datamine confirmed 18 story chapters (with the remake's 1st bombing run being chapter 1 and lasting around 45-50 minutes), so make of that as you will.
