He got demolished left and right, and rather than having a sensible arguement, he calls people idiots and basically says "I am right and you are wrong" all the time, without presenting arguements or facts.

Phil is paving the way for another tax begathon. He hasn't paid his taxes this years, owes about 20k, but has no actual plan, other than hoping he can get back into his original payment plan.

Speaking of paving the way, he made it painfully known that he has no money to pre-order the PS5. The pre-orders are going up soon, but unless someone buys it for him, he will not be playing on the PS5 on launch day.

He keeps saying that it isn't a cult, that he doesn't manipulate people into giving him what he wants, but then basically tells them to do it anyways.

They are, but none of them would be considered all time best. MMORPG open worlds are usually incredibly bare bones and lifeless, with the main appeal just being that it's all real people around you.

He is literally 12, I love how you toss around "well adjusted" about someone going through puberty. Brain chemistry is altered, hormone levels are all over the place. Having said that, do you think what is happening now: arresting the kid and making a huge spectacle out of it, is going to make him more "well adjusted", or less?

It's hard to say how popular he could have been, because a lot of his success was due to being at the right place at the right time, and he lacks the skills, personality, and work ethic needed to be a great streamer. Additionally, the drama that surrounds him seems to be what attracts a lot of his viewers.

But I think it's safe to say that if he had embraced being a meme and learned to laugh at himself, then he could be doing somewhat better than he is now. At the very least, he would have fewer haters and he might actually enjoy what he does. It's hard to laugh at someone for doing something stupid when he's already making fun of himself for doing that stupid thing; people would be more likely to laugh with him, not at him. And who knows, maybe if he had been willing to accept criticism and adapt to change, then he could have become a relatively popular content creator instead of one of the most infamous and toxic e-beggars on the internet.

I think Phil's biggest problem is his complete and utter lack of self-awareness. He has tried embracing memes several times now, and it does indeed cause small surges of popularity but it never lasts, because when new people get introduced to the ACTUAL Phil, they just leave.

For example, when he tweeted the thing with ProJared and tried capitalizing on him masturbating on stream, he did gain a lot of new viewers. But they were one time only, because after seeing Phil being his toxic self on stream, they just moved on to other streams, and Phil was once again stuck with his regulars. Same thing happens every time he plays a new game on release day, he gets a couple of extra day one views, but none of them stick.

Problem is that outside of those regular 200-300 viewers, lots of people know Phil, but for all the wrong reasons, and as such, they will never watch him. Phil could attract a much larger audience, but that doesn't happen by him simply embracing the memes, it would take a HUGE change in personality. Unless Phil seeks actual professional help (and I don't mean this in a demeaning way), he is going to continue on track the way he always has. He cannot change without outside help, and he is probably convinced he doesn't need to change either.

If Phil had actual self-awareness, he could use him being bad at videogames as an actual unique selling point. If he could laugh at his own fuck ups and have a good time with his chat about it, he would be both more relatable and more enjoyable to watch. People don't watch streamers to see them vomit excuses why they fucked up something. People watch streamers to be entertained. But Phil often lashes out at his chat, that they are not focussing their attention on him, because he is borderline boring to watch.

Phil is like a stand-up comedian angry at his audience, because they don't provide him with good material and then refuse to laugh at whatever comes out of his mouth.

Why would anyone be jealous of phil?

He has no real achievements, he has no friends, most people are apathetic at best and the rest dislike him. He groomed a pre-teen before making her his gf and now flew a supposedly crazy woman across the country to be his wife, nobody wants to sponsor him, he constantly burns bridges and hates his job, he has no real fans, most people like to troll him.

He's nearly 40 and looks 20 years older. He has poor health and gout. He's bad at his job and can never take criticism and improve.

The reason Phil has no achievements, is because Phil has no passion, motivation, or ambition. He doesn't set any goals for himself, never works towards anything. Because of this, he literally has no prospects, job oppertunities and even within the industry he is active in, he is openly mocked. No one wants to collaborate, no one wants to be a sponsor. And the viewers who do actually want to play with Phil, get shunned because he is amazingly paranoid.

Sure, one might be jealous of the money he makes annualy, but if look at how he makes it and how much of a mess his life is, that jealously instantly evaporates. This is a man who claims others are jealous of him, while having declared bankruptcy mere months ago and somehow sees that as a victory. And this is a man pushing 40.

He has no friends, no family, no one to fall back on. If everything goes tits up, his best prospects are burgerflipping after he loses his current gig. Phil actually believes he could work at Boeing or Microsoft or some shit. But Phil has at least a 10 year gap in his resume, he has no refferences and if ANY employer bothers to look up Phil Burnell on Google they can find his "12 year" legacy and everything that entails: his toxic personality, his complete and utter disdain for the people her relies on and everything else you can think of. If you look at his personality, he is utter imcapable of working with other people, because his is so extremely sensitive to criticism. No one could ever tell Phil about his mistakes or how he could improve.

He is pretty much unhireable except for the lowest tier of jobs.

The smallest things set this pig off.

Phil prides himself on being (50%) Italian, and that sauce is part of his proud "heritage", it's the only thing his fragile little ego "has". He has his 11 year old legacy, but everyone knows that if he were gone tomorrow, no one would care. But being "Italian" is something no one can take away from him, so if Phil gets ridiculed for that, you are hitting a really sore spot. So for me it makes total sense that he would react the way he does.

I think it's safe to assume that people don't care what Phil says he needs money for. People know that with money Phil begger for he flew Kat over the country, got married and blew the money on god knows what except shit like taxes or bills.

So if people were going to stop giving him money, they would have done so ages ago, the whole vest thing is proof of that. Because even though he has made over 15.000 dollars doing so, he is still getting people to buy games for him and shit, still claiming not to have money.

So Phil admitted during his retrospective that he didn't pay any taxes last year (once again lying about what the money he is asking is for), and actually is hoping that his payment plan will be reinstated.

Do you want to know the quality of the retrospective? It was Phil watching a retrospective. Such amazing content. The Megaman 6 ragequit came up, and Phil vomits more excuses than ever. To make things better, he was falling asleep around 1:15pm local time, he blamed Jasper for it, since he woke him early. But it's not because he rarely sleeps before 2am.

He then started to reminisce about the old Youtube days, even gave a "tour". Then shat on Youtubr saying that the new UI would be their undoing.

About the LightSydePaul thing, he was getting way too sucked into all this, maybe getting banned is actually for the best.

I remember when Mikey first warmed up to us and showed himself. He worked up the courage to come lay down in my lap. He absolutely refused to leave. Didn't matter if I had to go to the bathroom or what else. He'd hunker down and stayed put.

He would be in my lap till I nearly fell asleep while petting him. I guess more thsn anything, he wanted to be loved, feel secure. And once he let himself be loved, he gave so much back.

He never "talked" much, nor did he demand attention or was "present". But he was always there, looking for love to give and receive.

Putting on a vest to get $100 is too much effort for him, and he hates that his viewers have power over him. It's not enough that he gets $200 a day to do fuck all. No, he needs to get that money on his terms. He's legitimately annoyed that his fans are excited about the vest.

We pretty much all predicted this in the previous topic, that he would eventually would resent his fans for having to wear the vest. He resents having to do it for money same way he resents having to play games for money.

He literally called his viewers overwhelming for talking about the vest too much.

Strangely enough, that's not the worst thing. The absolute worst thing about all of this, are the people who keep giving Phil money for his absolutely abhorrent behaviour. He keeps insulting his viewers, blaming them, telling them to pay more/faster and they fucking do it.

As horrible as Phil is, his fans are somehow worse.

Also, "the scene" happened during TLoU2 stream, he didn't even glance at his TV the entire time till it was over. It's so fucking strange.
