I'm a big fan of the Aldi Carolina BBQ sauce. It's the closest I've ever found to taste like the McDonald's bbq sauce. Anything similar to that? Or I imagine a carolina flavor.

Holy shit, there's a new Paper Mario game! While it looks like you'll have multiple partners again and the battles don't require any gimmick items, I didn't really see much in the way of unique characters. One thing I liked about the first two is how they game unique looks to familiar Mario species.

EDIT: On further examination, it seems like the battles might have gimmick items, since one said he used "shiny boots". It's also possible the partners might just be area-specific support NPCs and your two permanent partners are the origami character and folded-up Bowser.

New abilities and new battles!
Use the 1,000-Fold Arms ability to extend your arms to interact with the environment and solve puzzles. In battle, line up scattered enemies and plan your attack to maximize damage with the new, ring-based battle system that requires both puzzle-solving skills and a quick wit.

There's your gimmick.

I was thinking about getting a Kindle because of this exactly.

For the past week, I've been reading on the kindle App maybe four hours a day with five minute breaks every half hour and an appropriate brightness setting and I'm still experiencing bad eye strain. My vision is blurring and I'm having a hard time adjusting to even minor lighting changes.
The bigger screen helps for sure, and you can make the letters bigger much more easily compared to a smaller screen.

If you must get one, get the paperwhite, having a backlight makes such a big difference for night reading. I would say it's not waterproof but now it apparently is. There's not much reason to get the oasis unless you like the metal feeling and the warm light. That's not really worth it in my eyes.

Looks like the normal kindle does too. Up to you to decide if more resolute and being waterproof are worth what, 30 dollars more?

To people who say you can read on your phone, yes that's true, but having a nice dedicated bigger screen to just read on makes such a big difference in my eyes. Not to mention the lighting on the kindle is...gentler? I can read next to someone at night and they can tell I'm reading on my phone whereas with the kindle it's not as bothersome. Also you're not soaking up phone battery. The kindle battery is a beast, I can read a full book without having to bother recharging it, hitting about 20-40%. I'm talking about 1000 page books here. So that's a big plus. With backlight used, but the wireless turned off.

You can definitely get some cases that are great for the kindle too.

I have to ask - is there science that favors fasted cardio over normal cardio in terms of fat loss? Like, is it definitely proven to be more effective?

I notice whenever I do fasted cardio, Im drained so much faster. Doing normal cardio midday or in the evening, I have so much more energy and stamina. I dont wanna be killing myself if there really isnt any difference.
If you're doing cardio you're going to use up whatever glycogen you have stored in your body, usually it takes about 2ish hours of hard cardio to get there. It's when you "hit the wall"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitting_the_wall
If you're doing fasted cardio you're starting your training with a lower amount of stored glycogen which leaves you feeling drained.

I know about this because I've done some ANECDOTAL experimenting with this when I was running 2-3 hours every other day.

On days that I didn't drink something like a gatorade my pace would just plummet after a while. I'd still feel like I was working hard (my heart rate hovering around 160-170) but I just wouldn't be as fast as I was. Days that I did drink gatorade I'd be working hard but I'd just be faster. As a result of doing that I set it up to be drinking gatorade on days that I would be running more than an hour and a half. Usually my pace would be set to be about maintaining 170-180 HR for 2 hours, so I would SUPPOSEDLY be burning about 1000 calories an hour. This worked I was losing weight pretty damn quickly despite having a shitty diet. Contrary to belief you CAN outrun a bad diet.

If you're feeling tired it's because you're using up your glycogen and focusing on burning your fat store (ketosis also the point of a keto diet). When you switch to fat is when you feel more tired and less efficient than normal. Once you get used to it you can be like one of those beast mode ultra marathon runners. I just couldn't, I'd always notice a dip in my times whenever I didn't drink gatorade or some form of getting glycogen back.

Also learned more about cream of tartar. Which I have used, but also always had a vague dislike of simply because of the name.
I think of seafood, but I tasted the sugar water and tartar mix and it has a bit of sour sweetness. Then you add the crackers and it magically turns into what apparently is apple pie filling. Throw in cinnamon and some lemon juice and you get that sour tartness sweet taste of apples. Throw in the toppings and sugar overload and you got something that tastes similar to apple pie.

Within the next two days I have someone else who can try this so I'll save a piece to see what they say and post it here. They usually love everything I bake as well, it'll be funny to see how they react to this when I say it's real apple pie. Can't wait to hear questions about what apples I used.

Gave some to a neighbor, and they enjoyed it. They said the crust wasn't very good but they liked the filling a lot. Then I told them it was made with ritz crackers and we had a good laugh about it. So yeah, just the load of sugar and texture is enough to invoke that apple pie taste as mentioned in the quote in the OP.

The next quoted post explains it. It's also a good learning experience, who would've thought you could pull this off with some ritz crackers? Think of it as a useful technique to use if you're ever on a show like chopped. Got some random crackers make a dessert, don't know what to do? Bust out the cream of tartar some random acid and sugar elements and you can make some apple pie despite not having apple pie. Like I said, I probably won't go making this into a pie, but the filling CAN be useful for making some apple flavored filling that could be used in a future dessert.

A big part of "mock" foods is having a good enough approximation to trick the brain, not making an exact replica. You get the right blend of, for example, salty/fatty/sweet/smoky and you can impress upon the taster a presence of bacon. Some things are certainly not reproducible to any significant extent, but that's when circumstances come into play and imagination fills in the gaps.

Honestly, not too difficult to make. I'd recommend finding a good quality pie crust that you can use. None of the ones at my grocery store are any good, all...three brands just suck. Including the pillsbury pie crust, store brand crust, and whatever the more expensive third brand is.

If you can't find one, making your own is best.

Apple pie is so sweet most people dont realize theres almost no apple flavor, its texture and sweetness that you like.
It's pretty sweet and has the texture of mashed apple pie. You have some sourness which you get from the lemon juice and cream of tartar as well. Texture is gelatinous, you really don't taste any ritz crackers at all. I'd say this tastes pretty familiar to those apple pie fillings in those cheap pie dessert fillings.
https://d2lnr5mha7bycj.cloudfront.net/product-image/file/large_1ad203a3-0ace-4aef-b497-5e9e30781430.jpg
Something like that.

It's alright, solid thing, I'll probably finish the whole thing. I wouldn't mind using this as a filler to make some copycat fig newtons or those grain pocket bars. For something that came out of the depression era, this recipe isn't too shabby really.

I'd recommend making it just to experience it.

Also I bought some "extra creamy" cool whip to go with it as suggested by the recipe, it tastes good at first, but it leaves you with a chalky after taste? Do not recommend extra creamy cool whip.

Does not taste like dog food too, bonus points there.

Guess I should mention that this could possibly trick some people into thinking it was apple pie. Especially people used to eating apple pie filling from those aforementioned desserts.

TL;DR: Alright, give it a shot, not too hard to make. No fake crust or cool whip. No ritz cracker taste at all.

Beat the game with solo Saffron, found limit breaker right at the beginning then the game became a cakewalk as that was my only spell I used with a bunch of consumables. I didn't find showdown until the end despite focusing miseri the whole time. Seriously stupid. My limitbreaker had double cast double cast 20% splash and 25% flames which basically gave it 220% damage with 100% chance to cause flames whoever it hit since it was hitting so rapidly. With showdown it was in a cross formation. Utterly crushed the streets of eden and the shopkeeper.

I highly recommend giving this seed a shot if you're struggling to beat the game killing all the bosses since you can't heal. I just had the leech card, healing anchor card, and heal potion card as heals between endless battles that ended a second after I casted limit breaker. I also picked up 0 cost cards that had consume give max hp and heal 5 HP. Put me up to 1500 HP by the end. Finding heart of gold at the end only gave me like 200 HP but whatever.

With this build I took probably no more than 500 HP from shopkeeper but took out 10k HP in mere seconds. And of course the final boss just died so quickly it wasn't even funny.

Apparently most people can't tell it apart. The cracker is just filling, the flavor comes from cream of tartar. In fact, this article says all you need to get an apple flavor is sugar, water, and cream of tartar.
https://io9.gizmodo.com/how-chemistry-transforms-crackers-into-apple-pie-1682571873
Cream of tartar is a crystallized acidic compound that is precipitated from wine, and used to be found in the bottoms of wine barrels
Its acidity also makes it a mix-in ingredient in baking powder which is basically baking soda with cream of tartar mixed in as an acid, so the the entire mixture foams the minute it hits liquid.

This blew my mind. Learned some new stuff from a stupid topic about making apple pie with freaking ritz crackers. Now I'm setting up to make this shit for tomorrow. I'll have to use fakeo crust instead of making my own however.

It's hard honestly. In these days finding good responsible tenants who won't shit all over your rental unit is surprisingly difficult. Someone who pays on time constantly and isn't smoking cigs or weed or has pets or children or is associated with crimes or gangs or don't bring bedbugs or are sanitary or are not loud or or or. The list goes on. Finding that goose that lays the golden eggs of rent every month without complaint or problems is surprisingly hard. Landlords are nice when they have that goose but they dread letting go of that goose. Swapping out a golden tenant for some unproven unchecked tenant may be difficult.

Granted this is all from the perspective of a landlord. It seems yours may be a bit cool, but these are most likely the thoughts going through their heads. They're not gonna be super happy about it, but hey maybe someone who pays rent and takes up space?

Not much use for the focus function right now, since I don't even know what all the cards are yet.
All the more reason to focus, focus one set of cards so you get what the goal of that deck is and if it works with your general playstyle.

Nevermind I did beat the game after some clarification.

The game does not make it very clear that you've gotten an ending. You just gotta go to the stats screen and see victory to know it.

So...I thought I beat the game? I beat the wall robot at the end, but then some angel came down saying this is not the way and one shotted me.

Eitherway Rock Cycle is the most broken card in the game combined with whatever artifact gives you half mana with flow casts. It'll allow you to cast rock cycle at half mana cost. If you can manage a .5 mana regen or something of the sort you should be able to spam it especially if you get the shield on cast. If you can find the rock cycle upgrade that reduces costs by half...well in theory you have a card that has 0 mana cast that gives shield and deals a ton of damage rapidly.

The current rock cycle I had gave 10 shield, dealt 60 damage and gave them fragile.

Rock Cycle with decent upgrades has been the "best" card for me. If you have some decent flow you can just spam it at the end of a deck endlessly. Can give shield double hit cast flames or cost half with good upgrades. It really does carry me on bosses.

Flow seems to work out the best so far, but I haven't tried out much else.

Unlocking the cards and stuff seems to be a priority currently. I have everyone but the shop keeper. Just playing normally and getting somewhat far will work out. I've saved most of the time but I also kill to get upgrades or removes for the flow deck.

Game is certainly hard though it isn't playing around. Make sure you can make a theme work out in your deck.

MOST IMPORTANT THING THOUGH IS TO SET A FOCUS FOR CARDS. IT IS LISTED WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE DECK AT THE TOP RIGHT. YOU CAN CHANGE WHAT FOCUS YOU HAVE TO MAKE THOSE TYPES OF CARDS APPEAR MORE OFTEN.

As far as I know this wasn't listed anywhere in the tutorial you just find it browsing through stuff.

Most people with the virus either show no symptoms, or just minor ones based on most sources I could find within the age brackets I mentioned. And do not require medical care.

To kill off most of our work force this virus would have to be nothing sort of a Spanish flu 2.0.

Not saying it wont ever mutate into such(hopefully not). But as it is now? Unlikely.
Please get more informed.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/18/health/coronavirus-young-people.html

New C.D.C. data shows that nearly 40 percent of patients sick enough to be hospitalized were age 20 to 54. But the risk of dying was significantly higher in older people.

While it may not have to kill off young people hospitalizing them for days to weeks is enough to cripple. And if they're hospitalized and it's over capacity? Guess what your young people are gonna die off.

In the C.D.C. report, 20 percent of the hospitalized patients and 12 percent of the intensive care patients were between the ages of 20 and 44, basically spanning the millennial generation.

12% going to the ICU is pretty damn serious. I don't know if you know hospitals but there isn't a lot of ICU space.

If you take away restrictions on social distancing this will be an absolute disaster.

All it takes is ONE person infected to fuck over an entire company. I don't know what the fuck they were doing at biogen, but that case is ridiculous. One infected person walks in and 100+ cases of NEW coronavirus infected people come out.

https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/03/15/nation/majority-massachusetts-coronavirus-cases-linked-biogen-conference/
https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/03/11/nation/how-biogen-leadership-conference-boston-spread-coronavirus/

One person can wipe out an entire company and incapacitate them. Now imagine hundreds of these sick people thinking I HAVE TO GO TO WORK THESE PAST TWO WEEKS I MADE NO MONEY I HAVE TO GO NO MATTER WHAT. Boom so many companies demolished and it cascades terribly. And then you got dipshit youngsters like the florida kids who don't care and just freely spread it around or care about distancing. It's gonna be a clusterfuck of a few weeks.

It's easy to say let a bunch of people die and let the economy go free. But this is just a bunch of people dying that COULD be saved with hospital care if they just have more time to process it. This virus IS EXTREMELY contagious. I wish I could find out how 100 people got infected from a conference, and I'm thankful to god that when I went to PAX East THE SAME WEEKEND AS THE BIOGEN CONFERENCE, nothing happened to anyone. Man that could've been an absolute disaster over 100k people went. All it would take is one person...But man what happened at Biogen is just a testament to how crazy fast it can spread. Unless she was just coughing on everything and shook everyone's hands and touched everything I find it hard to believe so many got infected in 2 days.

Let's see, like you have nothing in the cupboard levels?

Beans, sugar, flour, yeast, eggs, seasonings, rice, butter/oil. Those little broth cubes.

That should be enough to last you a while. Get some cheese and maybe some form of alternate protein. If you can you can buy a whole chicken (5 lbs is like...6 bucks?) and break it down into parts, make a bone broth out of it and use that to flavor your chicken and beans to make baked beans.

You can make bread. I'd probably say a multivitamin if you can too. It's possible to do it though. Not gonna have too much variety but you can still make some decent dishes and have more variety than shiddy ramen lol.

Flour isn't too much but like 10 dollars for a 12 pound bag. That lets you do a lot of stuff with sugar flour yeast salt and butter, bread, cookies, crackers. Throw in some cocoa powder and you've added chocolate variety.
