Supposedly the PS4 is region free when it comes to bluray movies, try that.

Have now confirmed it isn't. I know it is more relaxed than earlier Sony consoles (my PS4 plays UK discs, PS3 couldn't and PS2 needed something called DVD Region X to play them), but doesn't seem to be to that degree. Oh well.

Dug up some from a box of cables (using composite cables for now) and some AAAs for the remote and popped in disc one of the discs, it has more episodes than I expected (local DVDs had as few as 3 episodes per disc) so I'll have all the episodes for both seasons. Yay.

Unfortunately, this player seems a bit tempermental in its old age (gets stuck 'reading' new discs until I shut down and start it up again), so I'll probably hunt down a region free player down here for these and my regular DVDs.

Friend hasn't watched any of this stuff in years and wasn't buying more US imports, so he gave me the lot.

Black Lagoon cover art mentions being both seasons, but I seem to have 4 DVDs and 3 Blu Ray discs both marked as Black Lagoon, no mention of The Second Barrage, not sure if it is supposed to be like that. Anyone else have the Funimation set who can check for me? Need to find some replacement cables for the player before I can do it myself. Common ones fortunately.

Full Metal Alchemist: Botherhood has two sets with episodes going all the way to 64, so that is complete.

Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid is where I'm leaning myself simply because I already own and have watched the original series and Fumoffu, but never found this one. Though it is also focused on the mechs to my knowledge, I liked the comedy sections of the original more than the serious bits.

Samurai Champloo... Unlike the other stuff I was given, I know nothing about it.

My first set had drift to an unplayable degree within 3 months of purchase. The replacement set have held up better though, but just in case, I now own a PowerA controller (lacks rumble, but it is good enough) and a 8bitdo adapter to use other controllers.

I do need more joy cons for Virtua Racing though, it only supports split joy cons for multiplayer. :(

FFT battle system sounds shit for a series like Bioshock.

Combining the two genre into a tactical turn based shooter RPG worked out for Valkyria Chronicles, so I wouldn't write off a strategy game based on a FPS series myself. You get melee units, ranged units, 'magic', etc. Could have been interesting.

Not sexual in any way, but you are getting a trilogy of free JRPGs you can beat within a day. I played the Steam version ($3 to get achievements and card drops, but they have no problem with people playing free) and did everything in under 9 hours.

There are several DBZ movies I still haven't seen yet. The original Broly movie is awesome, but the others get progressively worse. I think Fusion Reborn was the one with Janemba; that one was really cool and weird. I don't remember much about Wrath of the Dragon. Haven't seen the others.

I haven't seen any of them, but at least seen most of the regular episodes (though only own up to set 5 of the DVD sets) and even some DragonBall. Never watched the later stuff though.

Stuff I have in mind for this are games like Sonic Spinball, where you would go try multiplayer, and just take turns trying to get as far as you could on your life, then waiting for everyone else to die so you could continue from where you died. That shit was disappointing.

Got my current one used after my former one was stolen several years ago. The analog is in poor condition and left movement with it doesn't work correctly, plus the battery that came with it was starting to expand. Replaced that at least.
