Yeah, the game is hard, and not always in a good way. I haven't played with King Knight(have it on the 3DS, so no dice there), but I would say (IMO) that Shovel Knight is probably the hardest and most frustrating one to play, because his mobility(especially aerial mobility) is much more constrained than Specter Knight or Plague Knight.
Still one of my favorite recent releases though. It's just so charming, and when it's on, it's ON.

Bernie pretty much needs to win Iowa to have any shot considering the format and demographics. Even 2nd place is a bad loss.

So this is good.
I think he could definitely survive losing it to Buttigieg, because Buttigieg doesn't have a path forward beyond New Hampshire, but losing it to Biden would be really bad.
However, winning Iowa would definitely help him out a lot and could give him the momentum he needs to close out New Hampshire and Nevada.

I knew his name and that he was a self-described socialist. I know a few vegans. One of them was a Lebanese coworker who went on about how disgusting factory farming and agribusiness is and how she wants to move to Europe and maybe have a farm where she grows her own food(and raises it). Struck me as being somewhat conspiratorial, but not unhinged.
The other was my roommate, and she told me one day that she felt we were too cruel to animals, but also that everyone on her Dad's side had bad cholesterol and was fat and felt that not eating meat was good for her health(often that's a liver issue, but certainly avoiding additional cholesterol from eating meet would help matters). For the record, she was noticeably fuller than her skinny sister, but not fat.

Lastly, in relation to the latter vegan, I regularly attended a vegetarian potluck. You don't need meat to eat well, trust me on that. One of the guys who attended regularly was a chef and made absolutely ridiculously delicious vegan dishes.

Some pretty pathetic takes ITT

Please change, CE
I'm always shocked by how ignorant people are about mental health.

PTSD is triggered by experiencing or sometimes just witnessing something traumatic. Obviously, active war zones are full of trauma, and, this might surprise some of you, but civilians are typically far less equipped to handle that trauma than soldiers(who, it should be clear, typically don't handle it well, because war is hell). That goes double for children. Lastly: refugee camps tend to be drastically undersupplied places with not enough shelter and no plumbing that are absolutely rife with diseases of all kinds because malnutrition and sewage is a lethal yet typically unavoidable combo in those situations. So yes, living in a refugee camp for four years would be a horrible and traumatic experience too.

It's possible it was something mechanical, but it's also possible the plane was shot down. Probably a lot of nervous AA gun operators in Iran right now. https://twitter.com/gbrumfiel/status/1214932557822910464
It appears they have intentionally attacked in a predictable and avoidable way, so as to avoid casualties(no American or Iraqi casualties). They are certainly capable of doing damage, if they would like to(ask the Saudis), but Iran is actually acting in a very rational manner at this time. They certainly have never wanted war. At least not a hot one.

That may have been semi-intentional: spooling up their missile systems is something we would notice, and something they would know we would notice. It may be their intention that these strikes are largely symbolic. They certainly have less foreseeable means of hitting our bases, if they want to(their proxies).

Also, let me just say this: no one is going to seriously help us. Any invasion of Iran is going to be deeply unpopular, both domesticly and abroad, and no one is going to contribute anything other than an absolutely token amount. That includes Israel and Saudi Arabia(who, by the way, recently disavowed the strike of Soleimani and urged restraint. You know you've overplayed your hand against Iran when those two think you're going too far).
And we all realize that the Saudi military is a complete and utter joke which gets wrecked by the Houthis on the reg, in spite of U.S. support and a crippling blockade? Their forces would get slaughtered in basically any engagement with Iranians, whether those Iranians are regulars or guerillas. They're poorly trained and the leadership is completely unprofessional.

Iran's military and political leadership is significantly more professional, cohesive, and numerous than any other country we fight. We would probably win most, if not all, set-piece battles, but we could never, ever win the war. Iran is much more heavily populated than Iraq with terrain like Afghanistan. It would require hundreds of thousands of troops to occupy, and there are no sectarian divisions or credible opposition to exploit. They have lots of rockets and cyber warfare capabilities. Opposition to our forces would be cohesive, well-organized, and have thousands of miles worth of mountains to hide out in. Also there's a jungle outside Tehran, for those of you eager to relitigate Vietnam. There would even be Iranian proxies and allies causing trouble throughout the Middle East!
In short, in terms of casualties, both American and Iranian, it would make Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq seem quaint. We would never win, it would be a monstrous waste of lives and resources, and it would be an evil, aggressive, and unjustifiable endeavor. A crime against America and all humanity.

Iran, essentially, must respond. Soleimani was a hero in Iran(don't get me wrong: the dude was a monster, but for purposes of understanding how Iran is going to respond, it's important to note how he's seen by Iranians), who got started as a commander in the Iraq-Iran War, and is widely credited by many domestically for defeating threats like al-Nusra and al-Qaeda. He was running Iran's operations throughout the Middle East, including in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Iran will absolutely escalate its activities in the Middle East and will likely launch cyber attacks and the like, at minimum.

It's worth noting that an operation of this magnitude was almost certainly being planned before the incident at the embassy. There's also a significant likelihood this is at the behest of the Saudis: Soleimani is the architect behind basically all of their recent humiliations, and Kushner is known to admire Mohammed bin Salman.
Of course, their recent misadventures in Yemen should tell you everything you need to know about how "potent" the Saudi military is.
