I dunno, nothing will ever beat the moment in MGSV where I realized I was hearing She Blinded Me With Science coming from a camp and then took out a bunch of dudes to steal their copy of the song. Also guest starring child soldiers is extremely funny.

I think MGSVs gameplay is better (and just generally one of the most fun modern action games), but I may prefer the overall experience of DS. I still have a bit more before Im done, well see if it sticks the landing better than MGS. It kind of has to, right?

I think I laughed the hardest as I was barreling down some hill with my moms corpse on my back wobbling around and then a somber sounding song started to play. The incongruity of the slapstick action and the serious tone of the music was very funny.

The reveal that his name is actually Sam Strand was also very funny because it was too early for me to be at all invested in his identity as Sam Bridges. It just came across as goofy.

Early on there were a bunch of moments like that that Kojima was treating seriously, but they looked absurd or involved silly things like a guy being named Die-Hardman.

As the game went on that sort of stufff became less funny because I was getting more engaged with the story l, so I had started to treat this absurd stuff as seriously as Kojima does.

and then someone had to go and say princess beach and I broke again
