Unless you have a lot of disposable income saved or a job or college waiting for you I wouldnt move there and the job market here is rough since cov19.

that said, k-12 education out here is crap and severely underfunded so if you have kids...

food is delicious. Poke, chicken (or pork) katsu, malsadas and theres other Japanese, Filipino, and Portuguese foods out here youll have to get used to. Not really any good mexican food places here.

locals dont really like out of staters. You can live here 20 years but if youre skin and accent dont match theirs your still an outsider to them. Dont frequent the west side of Oahu.

theres a lot of opportunity to pick up new hobbies like surfing, scuba diving or snorkeling, parasailing, wind surfing (highly popular in Kailua), hiking (the infamous haiku stairs just had their removal postponed 18 months), skydiving (I would not do this after an improperly maintained plane went down and killed all the passengers last year)

It took what I hated about ac3 and made it a large part of the game. If I wanted to sail endlessly Id go play sea of thieves or legend of Zelda wind waker.

I remember 4 bland forgettable dungeons and and even blander open world with nothing to fill it. And no one really had much character development.

I blindly voted for Rogue because Black Flag made me quit the series. I havent played rogue but judging from the poll idk how anything could be worse than black flag.
