you were right the first time, gamergate was a continuation of the quinnspiracy and at no point was ever a serious movement
it was always about harassing women involved in games and the ethics in gaming journalism was a blatant lie used to deflect criticism since when people would point out they were being sexist assholes they could say "no we just care about ethics"
a few people got suckered into believing this lie at first but people who actually cared about ethics eventually realized what they had become involved with and left the hate movement

im still at the first dungeon
and there is a fix for anime cutscene lag by using a program to force the game into only going at 30 FPS which will fix the lag issue but i dont know how to do that and i dont want to. ill just wait for it to be patched

so this is my first time playing the golden version
the only problem with the steam version is the animated cutscenes stuter and lag like crazy becoming unwatchable
but i can watch all the animated cutscenes on youtube as i get to them so this honestly doesnt bother me too much

the only thing i remember about doug was the episode where he kept trying to watch a scary movie but kept closing his eyes at the monster reveal
then at the end he finally forces himself to see the monster and its so cheap and fake looking you can actually see the costumes zipper
and then he learns all his friends kept closing their eyes too cause they didnt want to see the monster.

the action scenes in birds of prey were really good
i could see it becoming one of the movies that becomes more popular with time

but they made a lot of mistakes in marketing
for one its a bright colored movie that clearly would have appealed to a teenage audience. but they made it rated R
and they didnt even need to take much out to get it down to a PG-13 rating which would have widened the audience for it
they seemed to want to get the deadpool and logan R rated superhero film cred but didnt do enough with the R rating to justify it.

and they didnt advertise it well enough
most people werent even aware it was playing when it was in theaters
and they really shouldnt have tried to sell it as a birds of prey movie since it wasnt. it was a harley quinn movie
and while the action scenes are fantastic the plot itself was just ok at best but that could have been forgiven.

so yeah a ton went into making it a box off
but even with that it was the 4th highest grossing film so far
but it still didnt reach its sales goal so it was a flop which is a shame cause it didnt have to be

dragon age 2 had a great cast if you pretend anders doesnt exist
dragon age origins had the terrible circle fade part of the game
and the not great forest section
and the not great dwarf city segment

those are all the main chapters of the game and not one of them is really any good
yet somehow despite that it ended up great
