A question for all the mathematicians:

Is the answer to this 4 +5a, or have my mathematical skills atrophied beyond the point of no return?

Nothing is worse than back pain
All hyperbole aside, as someone currently nursing a horrendously painful back, I am inclined to agree. My daughter decided it would be unutterably amusing to jump from the bed head onto the small of my back as I lay on the bed reading.

Suffice it to say, it was far more amusing for her than I.

Prior to the lockdown, at 62 kilograms I was teetering on my highest body weight for a number of years. I have since put on another three kilograms and an now 65 kilograms.

I am utterly distraught. If it werent exceedingly counterproductive, I would comfort eat like a thirty-something spinster who has just discovered yet another of her frenemies is engaged.

Usually, I am exquisitely svelte, with delicate yet firm and strongly defined muscles. Like a cheetah, perhaps. Or alternately, a whippet. Now, I feel like I have become a blobfish swimming in a space suit filled with suet.

I dread the end of lockdown, when I am forced to squeeze my way into my 28inch black stovepipe jeans once again. I would consider gastric bypass surgery, yet they have placed a moratorium on elective surgeries for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I feel nothing but extreme pity for these people. They are, through no fault of their own, extremely ignorant and angry. Angry, since their limited world views are ill equipped to accomodate their current environment. Each and every one of these people would have benefited from a more comprehensive education. Particularly in logic and critical thinking skills.

You're not The Creep.
My dear boy, I am and always have been The Creep. While I may have closed my original account (and how I regret that course of action), I am nonetheless still, in my heart of hearts The Creep.

I have spent the eleven years deep in rumination. Or perhaps hibernation. Or would that be aestivation, given my abhorrence of warm weather? To be entirely honest, I have always preferred the winter. Either way, I have been terribly torpid and have decided to end my hermetic existence* in order to bless Current Events once more with my unadulterated, unfiltered and unparalleled self.

Recently, I watched Blade Runner 2049. It fiddled with what should not be fiddled with. Without divulging spoilers, I was greatly disappointed and I felt that although it was visually interesting, it was not worth three hours of my life.

This has led me to muse upon the topic of reboots and sequels.

The Ghostbusters reboot, however, was delightful.
