Ive criticized other cop videos on here too, this board foams at the mouth for every chance to do it. Ive already said I would have not punched the kid. The kid slapped the handcuffs away and refused to be taken into custody. Thats a felony in some states. He lied about his age and got treated like an adult. You guys are mad about facts that came out AFTER everything was said and done. Use of force incidents never look pretty on camera. Especially one where the OP is outright lying about it. The use of force happened because of the resistance not because he was smoking. The cop should get control and tactics training when someone is down. Like a stirring a pot technique to get his arms. Im not sure where its okay to physically resist lawful detainment where the cuffs go flying several feet away. Ive never arrested somebody that wasnt resisting and somehow my handcuffs went flying. Ive also never had anyone that wasnt resisting arrest, ball up his arms and under his body. The proper thing to do was sit on the kid and wait for backup to arrive if possible. This escalated to a point because the kid did an illegal activity, refused to identity himself, and refused to be taken into custody --- |
