I disliked Hillary as much as Trump 4 years ago and voted third party. But the third party candidate is never going to win. Not this election. I hate this two party system, I really do, but we would have to do a massive reform to change this. It's not happening this year. If you dislike trump, vote for the more component and less evil of the 2. This is the most important election of the 21st century easily. The Senate is up for grabs too.

I didn't take Trump seriously 4 years ago. If I knew be was going to be this bad, I'd make sure we do everything we can to not have him win, despite how much I didn't like Hilary

My hp laptop from 2012 is still going. I'm a heavy user on it also. The keyboard just shut down though so i got a wireless one. Just really depends on brand and use if anything

I'm ready to get a new laptop this year and will back up my stuff In a usb drive though Any laptop that goes past 5-6 years is good.

Not saying MacBooks aren't good quality or have bad software support. Quite the opposite. But the price of macbooks aren't competitive and don't justify the specs to me. The price makes them overrated. It's near the opposite of iPhones.

There's a reason why MacBooks don't dominate the laptop market You can buy a $300 windows OS laptop and have nearly all the most useful software available to you, along with streaming and web browsing. You can even game competitively with Windows OS laptops with the entry level to highest level cards. There's just much more software support, customization and more affordable price with Windows OS based laptops from multiple different brands vs macbooks.

iPads imo are than MacBooks for general use imo and they are cheaper

Definitely sadder. Corona hasn't been that bad (I do miss restaurants, gym, movies, meeting with friends) l, but it will get better come to pass eventually. But my dad getting diagnosed with cancer nearly broke me.

This year has made us all closer to family, and that's a good thing. If you've taken your family for granted, now is the time to make amends and spend time with them. Who knows what the future holds. Especially with your parents

Laptop batteries don't degrade by 50% in a year. There's a reason why people don't buy as many MacBooks as non macbooks. MacBooks are wayy overpriced. Like literally 1.5-2x as much a laptop with similar specs. And you can't game with them seriously. Why couldn't they match price per performance like they do with their iPhones?
I could buy 2-4 batteries in 6-8 years in the worst case scenario for a Windows laptop and still save at least $1000 over MacBooks with the same specs.

The moderations here are lax compared to the early late 2000s, and there's a wide variety of forums and topics. But Gamefaqs lacks quality posts and gaming news as well as developer takes. A good amount of the posts here are just garbage, and maybe it didn't help that all gaming forums have posts that can be somewhat off topic.

And then there's resetera. There's a ton of quality posts and gaming news and insights. I can get lost for hrs speculating about next gen hardware, but... at a price. It's so fucking facist and ultra left and full of ultra sensitive people. Especially with political gaming topics. You're walking on egg shells. It's like the worst of the internet with lynch mobs forming, and you can get banned for a month for literally having a different opinion than the OP and majority of the ultra left and accused of concern trolling or dismissive sensitive issues. What's worst is that you can't even contest moderations there. It's awful.

Tl;Dr Gamefaqs has low quality and troll posts vs reset era high quality and gaming news posts.. the former is too lax while the latter is facist iptra left. I wish there was something in between

Covid alone isn't too bad. But just a cumulation of how awful this year has been from many things. My dad got diagnosed with brain cancer a month ago too. I'm lucky enough to still be working during this time. Just trying to take it by the day.

Gamefaqs has changed a lot since I first joined back in the mid 2000s. I got banned and warned a lot back then, and it's mostly being in flame wars with people. Now it's a lot more lac and I do nothing to provoke people here and don't remember the last time I got a moderation.

You can't even have an opinion that opposes the majority on reset era for political topics. It's insane. And like I said, you can't contest moderations. Gamefaqs does have more trolling and less quality posts, but at least it isn't draconian.

I go to Resetera to read gaming news and post about next gen consoles and that's it mostly. Never had bad intentions or tried to stir shit up.

That site is awful. It's a radical left sure as many know, but the thing is is that you get banned for the dumbest stuff and you can't even contest back!

I got banned for month and was accused of concern troll and racism because some fucker tagged me here On a thread about the CEO of a gaming company that made two bad tweets saying that all lives matter in the first tweet and corrected himself in the second. Everyone was dogpiling him, and me not knowing his history (he made a game about racism apparently called Detroit: Become Human according to posters), I simply said I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and think he just said All Lives Matter out of ignorance for not understanding what the message was.

Some fucker tagged me and I got banned this morning and accused for concern trolling and racism, and I can't even contest it back. You can't directly contest to tbe message and There's not even a forum you can contest this too. Literally for having opinion. That site is oppressive as fuck.

I'm more upset about the vandalism and looting and don't think it has much to do with the movement, but that a small minority of people are just taking advantage of. COVID-19 isn't making things easier though and has made 40 million americane file for unemployment.
