Buying exclusiveness isn't new. Monoplozing isn't new. Epic is tryna be the Walmart or Amazon of gaming platforms. Its that simple.

Amazon didn't become the Amazon of the internet by buying exclusivity. I doubt Walmart did for physical stores either.

PAYING DEVELOPERS BAD

Paying developers to be exclusive to one store is indeed bad as far as I am concerned. I'm not sure why you cut the key bit out. I mean surely you can't genuinely think I think no store should ever pay any money to people who's product they sell.

So the argument here on why Steam is a God to you fanboys is that they don't have exclusiveness? The reason why EP is the devil is because they want games to be exclusive to their platform. I want you all to make this very clear.

I don't think Steam is God, nor am I a fanboy. I'm quite happy to buy games on other platforms. My biggest issue with Epic Games is, indeed the fact that they are paying other companies to make their games exclusive to EGS. The lack of other store features like lacking mod support is annoying but not as much.

Right. I thought you were talking about the grid like layout of the intercity road network

No, I meant the grid layout used in individual cities. The intercity road network is mostly newish and I wouldn't call it historical.

Is that really because of the layout?

It's mostly due to that fact that historically American cities all use the same grid length with no smaller or longer squares. This results in every road essentially constantly being interrupted by other traffic from roads, which slows down traffic.

But Math and Legos doesn't?

I agree with you in regards to Math but not Legos. How do you turn a material into plural? Do you say you have two pieces of metals? Two planks of Woods?

England's transportation system is a mess because unlike America which is a new country, England is built on centuries old towns that just expanded and cris-crossed roads/buildings in nonsensical ways over time. Like eating nothing but colored marshmellows then throwing up on a map. While the US is built sensibly on a grid.

While grids are a big improvement over previous road layouts, the historical US style grid layout often results in complete traffic chaos. Not as much as in the UK but still too much traffic.

The first three are usually regarded as the best. The third one is a very Marmite like situation where the people who like it, really, really love it, while the other hate it. The fourth isn't as bad as the following ones, and seems to have some fans. I don't think I've really seen fans for the last four films. Not sure how I'd really rate the popularity of the last four, other than worse than the first four.

In all seriousness I agree that puzzles in a non-puzzle games tends to be more annoying than entertaining.

In regards to talking to NPCs I'd say it depends on the game. Lot of them make it boring by either just having the NPCs hint at side quests, or just comment on recent events, which usually gets tiring quickly. The Trails games however have awesome NPC dialogue.

If weapons never broke, there would probably only be a couple dozen places in the whole game where you can find a weapon (assuming there aren't duplicates because why would there be if each one never breaks?) and everybody would only ever use one weapon once they find a good one. Every weapon you have would become pointless the second you find a stronger one. You probably wouldn't be able to throw weapons either, and you probably wouldn't be able to take enemy weapons either. It would completely change the style of the game. Maybe in the sequel this would be appropriate. But in BOTW would be a completely different game and I think it might be worse.

That's the idea. The problem is that the game gives you so many good weapons that there's no need to not just keeping using the best weapons. At least after the first 2 hours so. So for the first 2 or so hours breakable weapons are great, for the other 47+ they are just a nuisance as you have to keep changing weapons.

Way too much plot to adapt in a remotely reasonable length movie.
Or a plot that heavily relies on the game interactivity of the medium, which isn't easy to convert to non-interactive medium.

Depends on the game in general:

Right Thumb over right stick or d-pad.
Left thumb over 4 buttons or left stick.
Left index finger between L1/L2.
Right index finger between R1/R2.
Middle/ring/pinky fingers usually on the back.
If I have to use the L1 and L2 (or R1 and R2) button at the same time I move the index finger over L1(or R1) and middle finger over L2 (or L2).
If I need to use more than one of the 4 buttons I use my index and thumb, or try to position my thumb so it presses both.
