Why would any company throw that much money at some guy with zero background in their field? Do you even realize how much $83,000 a month is? That's no chump change.

Was this company cozying up to our former Vice President thru his son? For...advantages?

Even if they were cozying up with the former Vice President, through his son, what does it have to with Trump's impeachment case?

If he really is a pointless witness, then what are they so worried about?

The terrifying precedent it sets. Like I just said, in the post you literally just quoted.

I mean, the guy was on the board of this company making $83,000 a month while being unable to speak their language and having zero history/background in this area of work.

Ok, and that has what to do with this case?

IDK, but apparently the thought is so terrifying to the democrats that they are willing to give up key witnesses in this trial

One party being able refuse to allow a reasonable witness to take the stand unless, they get an unreasonable witness to also take the stand, is a pretty terrifying precedent to set. So I can't blame the Democrats for that.

Courts can, and have, set precedent to reverse laws because of various reasons.

The "various reasons" always come down to "this law is invalid, because this other law makes it invalid". The courts can't just go "this is a dumb law, so we're scrapping it".

I never watched, nor read The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, so I can' speak about that. Did you just watch the Haruhi anime? If so I also recommend reading the Light Novels, all of them have been officially translated. Also what did you do with Endless Eight, watch them all, or skip some?

The commission (who pass laws etc) are elected from within

No they aren't, they are nominated by the Council of the European Union, voted for by the European Parliament and then appointed by the European Council. The Council of the European Union, European Parliament, and European Council are all either directly, or indirectly voted for by the citizens of the EU.

Furthermore the Commission doesn't pass laws, they draft them. The Council of the European Union, and European Parliament, are the ones who pass them.

From the German Reich.

Ah, so the UK is now independent from a entity that doesn't exist any more, and never even ruled over the UK. Good to know.

It was BS that they took so long to leave. The people voted to leave, whether you agree with the UK leaving the EU or not it was anti-democratic to hold on so long.

This is a pretty silly thing to say. Yes the UK voted to leave, but they didn't vote on any particular way of leaving, which is obviously going to cause issues when the politicians are trying to implement the results.

90s comics at its finest...

Calling New Mutans a 90s comics is pushing it a bit. The original series started in 1983, and ended in 1991. The second series began in 2003.

Having said that, I agree that they are awesome, although I don't have as much faith in the film.
