America, the greatest country in the world, has endless opportunities that allow someone to "make it". Problem is, if you're from a disadvantaged background, you won't have the exposure to learn about these things as easily as someone from an affluent background. But I believe it's not just a matter of income.

Looking at what drives wealth, a big aspect is having a strong family unit, where you have both parents in the house and even better if you have the older generation contributing. In this environment, the responsibilities are shared for raising kids and maintaining the household, and kids are better exposed to more view points and learn more and live more. In addition, the parents have the wisdom to draw from the older generation in making better decisions. If the family is affluent, then this means the wealth of knowledge of wealth is passed down to help the family maintain and potentially bolster their status. And even better, they have the safety net of wealth to take more financial risks.

In contrast for the extreme poor family counterparts, chances are it's a single mother household and that right there is a MASSIVE disadvantage. A single mother is stuck with all the responsibilities of maintaining the house, and raising the children, and still paying the bills. This puts the kids are a big disadvantage because the mother doesn't have the time to commit to devoting to the kid to the give the kid the knowledge and exposure comparable to a nuclear family home.

There's also the aspect that a wealthy person living in a community has access to better resources; schools, better food distributors and what have you, but I hypothesize that this part can be mitigated considerably by having a strong community in poorer areas, which, in my region, we don't have. The bulk of a child's learning is not from the school, but in the home environment and the community in which they live in. Having weak community ties coupled with a weak family structure makes things difficult for kids to get more opportunities.

Impossible. Skyward Sword didn't get a fraction of the attention BotW got and Nintendo literally stole the show skipping out on a presentation and solely livestreaming BotW gameplay for E3 back in 2016. If climbing was a staple feature among future titles, especially Monster Hunter, I'd be THRILLED.

But it doesn't. I think this is just a "collector's" mindset that people have trouble dropping. You have to just view weapons as disposable and plentiful. You just got a really cool weapon? Use that s***.

That's not fair, gamers are conditioned to collect weapons and have equipment on hand for future battles. It's a lot to kill change programming to let weapons, especially the good stuff, be used and run through like water. I recognize the weapon degradation is a solution to the problem of having overpowered weapons like the ice rod and thunder weapons and their combinations. And there's the fact that you can grocery shop at the final dungeon within minutes of getting off the Great Plateau. But I still think it's a sloppy solution all around. If I get to a chance to do a replay on the PC using this,

It is a tactic they train officers to use to subdue a suspect, including in Minneapolis for their police department. But once you're down, subdued and cuffed, as was the case with Floyd, there's categorically no reason to keep your knee on someone's neck.

If it's a tried and true tactic (and I've seen photos of Israeli soldiers using that manuever on Palestinians), then it's not lethal and it corroborates with the police released autopsy that his airways were completely intact and he died from heart failure.

Oh boy. Trayvon Martin was an open and shut case, and Chapelle's still spreading false information on it by calling Zimmerman a murderer. He's a powerful speaker, but given his position to influence others, this is going to further the divide among the country.

I'm going to offer a counterpoint to what's going on; police brutality is a symptom of a larger root problem, violence in our community. We bring that under control, we'll reduce the instances of interactions with the police and lower the chances of police brutality as consequence. Police brutality, or the perception of the police among the community is not mutually exclusive to the crime rates. They cannot be separated.

I'll still take those over unpoliced protests. My biggest problem with these clips and videos are the lack of awareness of some people, how they think they can do whatever and it won't influence the behavior of others around them. Yes, there are videos of police pushing and mace spraying people who just happen to be there. But in the clip with the police cars driving into the crowd, they were tossing miscellaneous stuff at the vehicles beforehand. In that second link I just quoted, one dude is screaming at police calling them "scary ass motha****as" and belittling them. Lo and behold they play the role and make everyone know they're "scary ass motha****as" and to respect their "authority". The behavior of some of these police are not in the least bit surprising. These guys are still human and want to preserve their self-dignity.

I know I'm going to get heat for this post, for being a police sympathizer, but BLM has been vilifying the police since 2013 with Trayvon Martin. We're almost a decade into this and we've gotten nowhere except divide this country even further than ever to the point where we are risking a collapse of an empire and letting China overtake us as the dominant country of the world. These riots aren't going to change anything for the better. If by some grace, we get back to normal, the police are going to treat people the exactly same because not once have we asked the fundamental problem, why are police overtargeting black people? If it's racism, then ask why are they being racist? No one starts off with strong feelings to anything, good or bad. They have to come from somewhere. When you find the "why" then you can properly diagnose the problem and take steps to rectify it.

What difference does it make? We've crossed the line where you can't count on a group of protestors to be nonviolent in this country. There's too high of a chance someone or multiple persons will be there to instigate violence. If you were managing a city, and you got word there's a protest, you'll have no choice but to send the police out to keep the peace.

The incel population will continue to grow where more guys will check themselves out of society as with no chance of a relationship, there's less motivation to contribute to society. And women suffer from overload of options as they get continuous access to the cream of the crop which raises their standards and makes it difficult for them to settle so we have an emerging population of older ladies who never settled and end up single and unhappy that they never got to have their family.

It's insane how much value she attached to getting a high number of matches. Once they went down you could see she felt like she wasn't worth a damn and it damn near broke her.

And you guys are being disingenuous in arguing women have it worse. If anyone would have to choose between 300 matches with bad eggs, and 10 where you won't get responses unless you're charismatic, the former would be chosen 10/10 times.

Do you think the people attacking CNN really have the clarity of mind to honestly believe this?

This is my problem. I have tons of qualms with CNN as neither they nor NBC were held accountable for their blatant manipulation of information in how they reported the Trayvon Martin case. CNN first reported the story as "Half-white man kills teen boy". And NBC doctored the recording of the police dispatcher between Zimmerman to make. The media did a metric ton more to prop up the case and further divide this country and no one called them out on this.

So obviously, I'd jump for joy if CNN were to go down. But I'm not getting that this, their history of tailoring a story to push a narrative, is the reason why they're getting hit. So all rioters are doing is wasting time and causing unnecessary damage.

The 4chan post is criticizing how materialistic the Reddit poster is. Look at the pic:

Cigarettes - pleasure

Cartoons - pleasure (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, haven't seen the show but there's always something to learn from someone else's story)

And even the reddit post itself, pleasure. He's posting it for the attention, giving himself that nice dopamine rush. Normally it's not bad thing, if you do it on occasion, and everyone has their vices anyway, but an excess of such activities fry your reward center and make it difficult to discipline yourself to do more difficult and rewarding things. Him bragging about him being an adult doing this makes him look ignorant about this.

And mind you, these types of attention seeking posts are heavily, heavily, discouraged on a number of boards, 4chan will be at your throat for posting something like this. If you want attention from them, best come up with something worth talking about; whether it's a good and original idea or unique content.

Honestly, it's best not to get 4chan's opinion on anything Reddit. They hate that site with the passion burning hotter than a 1000 suns. To the point where the business board coordinates misinformation campaigns on Reddit's big crypto boards because they're fed up with how gullible and easily manipulated they are to following the popular opinion.

In other words, the federal government is nationalizing large swaths of the financial markets. The Fed is providing the money to do it. BlackRock will be doing the trades.
This scheme essentially merges the Fed and Treasury into one organization. So, meet your new Fed chairman, Donald J. Trump.

The Federal Reserve has always been a private entity, now they're under the US government. Someone once told me that Trump was going to end the Federal Reserve, the entity that has a major influence in the wars we have in the Middle East and any president that tried to restrict its power got a bad case of lead poisoning. I laughed at his face. And yet this article happened and Qanon said the Federal Reserve was going to be restructure. If you're going to dabble in the crypto world, I'm going to be a broken record and say buy Chainlink. It's the internet network of the blockchain, monetized. Literally every blockchain project that wants to be worth a damn is going to use Chainlink's network. Software on an air gapped computer will have limited uses compared to software on a computer connected to the internet. Conversely, smart contracts (applications that exist on a blockchain) are limited in use compared to ones that connect to the real world. It's a running joke that someone investing in some company would laugh at Chainlink only to see a partnership with their company and Chainlink announced on twitter.

But if you dare decide to "diversify" for a "well rounded" portfolio, start with learning about what Chainlink does and how it solves the biggest problems in the blockchain world. Because of the necessity the network, you'll gain exposure to how different companies are leveraging smart contracts to solve their fields' problems. You learn the problems of what goes on in De-Fi (Decentralized Finance); the raging battle of digital currencies between banks and the BTC, smaller projects trying to create stablecoins (coins that aren't volatile in price), and other De-Fi problems. Then you might come across how people are leveraging blockchain tech in videogames (I'm keeping my eye out for the first company to announce a partnership with Nintendo).

But do start with the lecture I linked. It's very informative even for people who have been in the field for a while.
