Yeah, I love Alien but Prometheus sucked. It had great visuals that still stick with me vividly after all these years, as I only saw it once when it was in theaters. But damn the movie was a mess, it was very clearly a direct prequel to Alien that they then changed and expanded out to become a launch pad for it's own mini franchise, and the movie is a jumbled mess because of it.

I DONT like them on my baked potatoes tho. Too much for me.

Full disclosure, I enjoy most of the ST, hate the PT, and am an OT purest so make of that what you will with my opinion.

I despise Solo. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I found the movie to be completely unnecessary both in terms of story, but also because of how ridiculous it is to attempt a Solo movie. Harrison Ford IS Han Solo, I understand characters can have multiple actors, they did it with Obi-Wan. But Harrison Ford was already young when we first meet Han, we get a... slightly younger Han? Okay..

The fact is Harrison Ford made the role, just as much as the role made him. And I'm not even his biggest fan as an actor overall, but damn no one else can play that part. Also, it truly feels irrelevant in the SW zeitgeist, which is the biggest sin of all. TPM and AotC might truly suck, but at least people care to discuss them, have opinions of them etc. Solo is truly just a movie that's "there" and no SW film should ever be that

I do salt, pepper, garlic powder as my go to. I've recently starting added some lemon juice on top on both sides as well (bottled is fine) and grilling.

The acidity of the lemon juice helps break down the meat on thicker cuts and makes it nice and tender and enhances the flavor without really having any strong lemon taste. It's very subtle on steak and you wouldnt know it's there if you don't know it was used. Really nice.

Idk about TX but I know in NY, they've discussed graduating all seniors. Finishing up the school year for seniors wouldn't really be necessary. No one cares what your grades are on your finals after college acceptance.

There's a lot of different methods, types etc. Ultimately, the prepping of coffee is a chemical process, so a lot of factors can affect the taste. But like anything food related, don't worry too much. There is truth to differences in high-quality beans, cultivars, where they're grown etc. But a lot of people who talk about coffee are just full of bs.

At the end of the day like any beverage find a brand you like, prepare it how it tastes good to you, and that's it :)

I found FFXV to be a total breeze and broken combat wise. I'm currently playing through FF7R on normal, I'm about 2/3rds through and while it's not hard, it definitely can require you to think tactically and use all the mechanics. Things are somewhat easier if you played the original FF7, understand how to use materia etc. I do find it to be more challenging than FFXV though. Make of that what you will.

Yup. It was my gateway into anime. I watched it for the first time at a friends house in the 90s, it was somewhere in the namek saga and was just instantly captivated. I then watched the whole thing from the beginning up through Namek (at the time DBZ was only dubbed up through the appearance of the Ginyu force).

Then I became friends with some older kids who turned me on to fansub tapes, watched all of DB, DBZ, GT on fansubs and from there got into anime. Watching Neon Genesis Evangelion as a 12 year old was probably the most wild mindfuck of my young years.

I actually haven't been disinfecting my groceries. Its the one thing I don't really want to do as I dont love the idea of putting chemicals near my food packaging. Non perishable stuff I've also been putting it off to the side and leaving it for a few days till the virus dies out. For the pershible stuff I put it in the fridge but I wash my hands every time I touch stuff, during cooking I'll wash multiple times if I touch multiple packages throughout making the food.

I also try to take produce out of the packages etc and wash them and throw away the containers if I can

I'm a former smoker. The only thing that worked for me was truly wanting to quit, cliche but true.

My advice is don't use any substitutes (patches, gum, vape etc), because you have to train yourself on the mental side of the addiction not just the physical. What I did was I forced myself whenever I had a craving was to hold out as long as possible, sit down, white knuckle it etc, till I truly couldn't take it anymore. Then i'd go out and have a smoke.

At first I could only go a short time, but over days and weeks the time I would go in between cravings slowly got longer and longer and the amount and the intensity got less and less too. I slowly cut down to just a few a day, then I was able to go every other day.

Finally I forced myself to go two days straight without a smoke and then forced myself to go "cold turkey". Obviously it wasn't truly cold turkey since I was training myself, more a like a slow weening off.

Been smoke free for 6-7 years now. The toughest part was the 6 months/a year out when I'd get a random craving, knowing your triggers (I loved a late night smoke outside for example). Having to force myself to stick with it, and tell myself I'd undo all the progress if I had even one. Now the idea of smoking is repulsive to me, the smell makes me sick etc. Crazy how much smoking rewires your brain, cause when I was a smoker nothing smelled better than cig.

Sorry btw if this isn't the kind of advice your looking for, but I always like sharing it cause it worked for me and I want to see others have the same success!

probably cause it would extend the time for each turn in so many ways, (more commands, more enemies on the other side to make the game challenging in any form etc) and thus extend the time of every random battle and thus making grinding even more annoying than it is.

wow. makes me think we probably had thousands of covid cases before most areas started keeping count.

For sure. I live in LA, so its a major city with tons of tourism etc. Millions of people coming in and out every day. I have a hard time believing it just stayed contained in one spot on the planet when we have thousands of flights a day all over the world. Especially with the fact that we know now people can spread the virus while being asymptomatic, it definitely was here for a while. On top for the fact we've only truly begun testing in earnest now.

Also, just because it was first identified late last year doesn't mean thats when the virus first began infecting people. It could have and most likely had been around for some time before the medical community was able to identify it as a new virus

I did!

I had a bad fever Feb 1. Aches, chills, extreme fatigue where I was too weak to get out of bed, could barely walk. I had diarrhea as well which is uncommon with the flu, but in 50% of COVID cases. Runny nose, some coughing. All the signs of COVID. I was really scared at the time as I've never felt so sick in my life, I actually cried at one point as I thought something was seriously wrong.

I went to the doctor and got tested for every infectious disease and got a chest X-Ray and everything came back negative. All my dr said was he thought it was viral, and he asked if I had been to China which I hadn't. It didn't cross my mind that it could be COVID-19 but now I'm almost certain it was. My family member who took me to the doctor got sick the next day with the same symptoms and had a dry cough for weeks. We both think it was COVID-19.

Also TC is correct about the life span on the virus. Even if a tiny amount is still living after a day or two, the amount of remaining virus thats viable to cause infection is so small. Even with the best of cleaning youre liking to come into contact with it somehow at some point the key is avoiding contact with people who are shedding virus and reducing your amount of exposures

i do the same thing tbh tc. I live in an apartment building with one of those lockers where they put in your package and you get emailed a code to unlock it. I've been leaving my shit in there for a few days, then once i bring it up i leave it off to the side for a day or two.

I dont want to waste my cleaning products on it, and i do want to avoid unnecessary usage as well. I'm disinfecting the hell out of my place but any time i dont have to use toxic chemicals im avoiding it.
