I dunno, I never got this whole controversy even back like 15 years ago when I first heard of it. Is it just that they don't like the depiction of centuries-old culture? Like anybody thinks it's supposed to be a realistic depiction of modern people?

If I try to put myself in their shoes, the best I can come up with is if they renamed the team to the Washington Rednecks and the die-hard fans wore straw hats and half-buttoned overalls, and the only conclusions I can come to are:

1. That's actually kinda funny.
2. It's actually kind of flattering for somebody to think southerners are badass enough to compete with bears, lions, panthers, etc.

But whatever, it doesn't matter if I get it. "Nuh uh" is the worst possible answer to "this is offensive."

Well, it's a cool idea, but the actual working parts aren't gonna be made of Legos, lol. The computer, connectors, the screen, etc, all gonna be manufactured. Maybe the controller will be made of a couple custom pieces but otherwise all this needs is those manufactured parts and pretty standard bricks, just painted in maybe unique colors and with a few logos here and there.

Shazam/Captain Marvel has always been one of the campiest mainstream comic book IPs, which is a heck of an achievement, so it would have been a challenge for a modern film made for modern audiences, where "cheesy" is the absolutely worst possible criticism. So naturally, there was no way it was gonna clear everyone's checklist.

I thought it was great, myself, with my only real complaint being that Billy was supposed to be 14 years old but the story is written more like he's half that age or even younger. No 14-year-old is gonna try the mattress thing, nor is any 14-year-old gonna get moved to a different foster home instead of juvie for that stunt he pulled at the beginning of the movie.

Well, a little grind is ok as long as there's incentive for it beyond increasing some numbers.

For example:
Farming for moderately uncommon drops (FF7)
Skill rankings for the encounter and some sort of bestiary or reward that proves it (MMBN)
There are actually decent things to buy and they actually balanced the pricing and drop rates correctly so that you won't just have gobs of money (Golden Sun)
Each encounter teaches you something about the game's combat, so it's also practice in addition to grind (Child of Light)

It's just that these tend to be the exception rather than the rule.

The second "had" is unnecessary.
Depending on what you're saying.

If they just walked in the room looking all singed and worn out, and everyone is staring, and you happen to know they just fought a lava monster and decide to inform your companions, then yes, you would only use one had.

If you were the narrator, and the story takes place in the past, and you were informing the audience about their scuffle with the lava monster, then you would use both.

Wait, what? If I play Calm at the start of some fights it will reduce the the damage of the first round of attacks. Sometimes it doesn't. You start out "normal" so what does Calm do for you but reduce damage? Oh wow, I guess it doesn't reduce the damage. . .Then how. . .then . . what? I f'n swear if I play Calm as my very first card it reduces the damage. . .but. . .okay, yeah, this is a Mandela Effect, lol
You're probably confusing the stance calm with the card that gives you 8 (I think) block and puts you into calm.

The stance itself just gives you a couple of energy when you exit it.

In an odd way, it's one thing I really like about the series, actually. Usually not so bad until Ace difficulty but once there, there's a definite cycle of restarts, which is oddly comforting.

I guess it's that while it's challenging, it's fair and you generally won't be stuck for weeks on one level lile in some hard games.

Yep.

It was a lame little dot in the sky. Everyone was like "IT WON'T BE BACK FOR ____ YEARS" and when I saw it, I was like, well this sucks if I'm still alive next time, I'm gonna miss it on purpose.

I didn't care for the first couple and skipped most of the rest as a result, but I don't see any reason they shouldn't succeed just because they weren't my thing.

Around $546, depending on how frequently they compound. I think most do daily.

Also, if you have a savings account that yields 6%, you gotta share your secret.

Yeah. The mask is to protect everyone else from you. The best option is to stay home/in car. Second best, wear a mask outdoors. Third best, wear a mask in a store. Absolute worst, go in public without.
