Thd only real concern with this is Disney not letting game devs make cool star wars games like KOTOR with dark or interesting choices.

I don't think we'll ever get a game where the dark side is an option while Disney is in control and that sucks ass.

I'm not exactly big on online play myself, but it is somewhat different now than 17 years ago.

From what I understand there are plays in Madden today which are not technically cheats but are essentially unstoppable.

Madden sucks now but this is something that would only happen with online play. With in-person play there would be regulation over stuff like that.

I miss Create-A-Team so much. I used to love assembling a team of nothing but draft busts. Managed to make Joey Harrington really good that one time.
That, and making progression more interesting than players continuously getting better at the same pace until they hit 30(unless you get lucky and get the chance to improve it, which good f**** luck on that if you're simming), when they start shedding stats like crazy(in most positions). It should be more variable and more unpredictable.
Like, sometimes, players just stagnate, sometimes they get really good out-of-the-blue, sometimes veteran players have renaissances well into their 30s, some players play forever without suffering much decline(feels like injuries, touches, hits, etc. should factor into that).

Luckily the PC version of Madden 20 has a way to replace the progression and scouting system to be much better. It isn't perfect considering you have to use multiple external programs to use it, but it's better than "play good, get better" and it addresses regression too. Not as in depth as injuries and touches contributing, but better.

you can't customize Madden's rules or penalties tbh, there are penalty sliders but they impact gameplay because the developers are garbage and/or coding on a mess of code that's years old
