This is how you force someone into taking a side they may not really support. This happened with the kneeling in the NFL several years ago. People with neutral opinions were pressured to take a side without all of the facts and the knowledge to make an appropriate decision. That worked out well didn't it. I think encouraging people to actually care and learn about the issue is more important then to hastily pick a side because of this if you don't your against me mentality

abolitionists also did it leading up to the civil war. they would go into "neutral" churches, interrupt their mass, and refuse to leave until the church had chosen a side. how'd it go for them?

It's in my top 3 anime along with Yu Yu Hakusho and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Togashi is a genius.

almost all of the posts I've seen to this effect (i.e. criticizing the dems for not shifting to the left) have been from a pragmatic standpoint: they shouldn't expect the progressive vote; they need to earn it. dems have not been good at responding to that, though they've done a hell of a lot to try to appeal to the "moderate rebublican" spectre that will never vote for them anyway

I'm just saying if you're looking for an organization to take over and enact legislative or executive change through the Democratic Party is a better candidate than the GOP (which would crucify you) or the Greens (which historically due to their incompetence and FPTP can't get folks elected)

For example, I honestly never heard of this person, so I used guy as gender neutral. Others might have assumed rappers are typically male. Is there a big complaint to be made either way?

the point is that doing so clearly indicates that you are unfamiliar with her, when her tweet indicates very clearly that she is addressing her followers, who presumably are familiar with her.
