Stuff is going down here all night. People threatened to burn down a mall tonight. It was closed early and police showed up. Protesters showed up attempting to keep everything civil. One son of a bitch threw a brick through a window, and that's all it took.

Rioters, looters, and people just looking to cause chaos and get theirs will always exist. But how in God's name do the police think the proper response to protests of police brutality is to crank it up to eleven? It just doesn't make any sense.

I really mean it; this issue affects everyone in the country. If you're not in favor of the movement vocally and/or in deed, you're the problem through inaction. This will never change unless they're pushed hard. It's a fight that absolutely must be fought.

I've been sampling random manga, but a new favorite is Roujoteki Shoujo Hinata-chan, about an old woman who dies and is reincarnated. Not in another world though; just reincarnated in the same world, with the same memories, but to a new family. It's adorable watching a five year old girl acting like an old woman.

Boy, if I had a shred of respect for them before, it's gone now. They're going wild on innocent civilians with no cause whatsoever, and all the hypothetical "good cops" are letting them.

Any good cop knows that all of this is wrong, would have stepped in, and would have actually arrested that piece of shit truck driver. They'd take a stand, no matter the personal cost, just like we're doing out there now. If they're not standing with us, like so many officers around the country have chosen to, if I can't count on them to do the right thing and keep the people safe, they're officially part of the problem.

Police went wild firing gas cans a few hours after I left.

Looking at the footage of the guy who drove through the crowd, he was stopped just a few feet later by three or four police cars, who detained him for a few seconds.. and let him go.

A fucking psychopath mowing down pedestrians ON CAMERA and practically in custody already, is apparently not as great a concern as some people with a sign!

We were walking under a highway overpass, and there were hundreds of supporters all along it. All of a sudden they started yelling out and running down to the ground below. You could sort of smell it, but me and mine didn't stick around to see exactly what happened; as soon as we saw dozens of people running away we followed suit.

You can say that it's just a few bad apples (which even in the context of that quote spoils the bunch), but some careers cannot afford to have bad apples at all.
