I also personally play EDH/commander, and have a bucket of decks. I'm a huge fan of it and really enjoy playing it.

You can very reasonably buy the premade EDH decks, and everyone in the group will have, more or less, the same power level. Pick what you find to be interesting and have fun with it battling your friends who pick what they find interesting.

There are a few extra rules to remember about commander, but it's not a big deal and it can be picked up fast.

I do actually have an insta pot, I got it for christmas. I've realized that I'm not really a big fan of it though, because I can't get a sear with it, and I don't have a cast iron pan to /really/ crisp the outside and then put it in the insta pot.

My gf loves it because it's really easy to whip up some quick chicken breasts, it has the precision that she likes with baking, but for cooking.

I finally bit the bullet and spent an hour and a half hand chopping some frozen chuck that I've had for a while.

I tried to make some burgers, but they sorta fell apart and then I made them. I made it into stirfy with leftover rice, a couple of eggs, and also a few chopped onions which was delicious.

Now I realize that I have no idea what else I can reasonable make with this.

Personal bias aside, I've always thought this.

The biggest factor to remember is that all of the presidents throughout history have been rich, which is easily the biggest factor.

However, you need to remember something:
We, generally only have 2-3 presidents a decade, and then you compare that to medical advances of the best and the brightest of humanity, through over 300 years.

It's, not exactly enough of a sample of the population to have a legit answer.

Stovetop is best way to cook steak... no pan, just put it right on that heating coil.
Needs to be a coil though, if you have one of them freakly flat stovetops it won't work

Well sure, if you're a fancy pantsy rich person with a sous vide machine and also a vacuum sucker-outer-thing.

There is a downside to that though, now that I think about it. Part of the real benefit of a reverse sear is that you use the dry air of the oven to, well, dry the outside. This makes it so that when you do fry it up, it crisps up even faster without needing to pat it down at all.

Nah, a reverse sear is where you slowcook a giant steak in the oven, then crisp up the outside on just a smoking hot pan.

It's a good way to make sure a large cut of steak is cooked perfectly.

I get sort of annoyed when I hear or see online people minimizing it by comparing it to the flu. Sure, the flu kills more people, but it doesnt have a mortality rate of about 2%. Thats dangerous if you were to catch it.

Remember, this shit is brand new, so we don't actually know what the rate is, people are still sick.

As a side note, I'm mid-20s, healthy, I'm not immunocompromised, and I wash my hands. I'm fine.

I had a tasty curry-esque gumbo the other day... not sure what it was, but it had that classic golden orange look that I associate with curry. I think it's because it used rice-flour as a thickening agent to keep the acidity from the red peppers from liquifying the whole thing. I guess technically you can use any starch, but I think it was the rice-flour that was doing it

Gonna cook up some potatoes in a new way that I'm excited about.

Fry the outside, then pour some chicken broth in and steam it the rest of the way. Spices are cumin, coriander, paprika, and then some parsley or thyme on top.

Hopefully it comes out well, I'll also throw some onions and sausage in there at the end, because I know what I like.
