Making Star Wars reports that Jar Jar Binks is rumored to have a part in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+, which will star Ewan McGregor in the title role. Deborah Chow, who also directed episodes of The Mandalorian, will direct this series as well. So far all that is known about a possible Jar Jar appearance is that early work was conducted to bring the character back. Jar Jar reportedly has a beard that is to show wheres hes been and what his life has bene like since Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Its unknown if Ahmed Best will reprise the role, but he previously voiced Jar Jar in Star Wars: the Clone Wars, outside of one episode. The character last appeared in the Aftermath book series, where he was a clown for orphaned Naboo children after the events of Return of the Jedi. That means if youre hoping for him to die in this series (which is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope), youre likely to be disappointed. --- |

Now, that series will continue on television. Variety reports that Syfy has given a straight-to-series order for Chucky, with Mancini serving as the showrunner and executive producer. He will also direct the first episode. David Kirschner and Nick Ancosta will also produce while Harley Peyton will executive produce. Chris McCumber, president of Entertainment Networks USA and Syfy for NBCUniversal, said: The character Don and David created has terrified audiences for over 30 years.
