lol you do not need a year of practice, at least in California. The written test had the same standards iirc but but the DMV has (had?) practice tests that literally repeat the questions.

The driving itself will get super easy pretty quick. I say just go for it. Don't be like me and have to take an uber everywhere.

I've heard if you take a driving course here and pass you can reduce the wait time to 6 months, but those cost hundreds of $ to take.

Also our written tests are always different. Some have the same questions but they get shuffled around. I recall on my first test I got one particular question wrong, and then on the third test I saw the same question, Knew the answer from my previous corrected test and put that down. I got it wrong again. I swear it was the same question with the same diagram and everything yet I got it wrong twice.

Note I'm in Canada, BC to be exact and the rules differ by province.

Here (earliest at 16 y/o) you need to start with a written test to get your L or Learner's License. You have restrictions on how late you can drive, and must be accompanied by a a fully licensed driver who sits in the passenger seat. You are allowed one extra passenger. Of course at this point you've likely only taken the written test so now is the time to practice driving. One year after getting your L you can now go for a driving test to earn your N or Novice License. With that you're free to drive on your own, but again only allowed one other passenger. Finally a year after that you go in for the Class-5 driving test for standard vehicles. Pass that and you're fully licensed and free to do whatever.

That being said I'm 36 and I do not have a license. At 16 in high school it seemed everyone else got on it right away. I didn't get around to it until I was 22, and it took me 3 tries to pass the written test. You have to get at least 43 out of 50 questions correct iirc. After that I drove once and our car was a pos. In the two years that my L was valid I never got around to driving again and when it expired I thought I just had to pay a fee and renew it, but no I had to take the written test again. I wasn't prepared for that and haven't attempted again in all this time.

My sister (who has had her N for like 16 years) always complains why I don't get my license. Well even if I got the L again I still need to practice driving and the only fully licensed person around is our mother who does the driving anyway. So sure I could take all that time and money that could be better spent on bills and food and try again but then I'm still stuck needing to practice for a year and tbh I don't like being behind the wheel that much.

Not really. I grew up with Simpsons and Married With Children. I remember watching Robocop and Total Recall among other films at a young age without being shielded.

There was an incident however when I was like...9. (so about 1992) We went to a game shop and I was picking out an NES game. Can't remember the exact game but it was military based so maybe Tiger-Heli, Silk Worm, or Jackal, whatever. My mom felt it looked too violent (I've literally owned Super Contra for like 3 years by this point) and wanted me to leave so she could talk to whoever was working there. She wound up buying me A Boy and His Blob.

According to Metro, it all unfolded Tuesday evening when a group of juveniles got into an argument. Authorities said right before the group was about to get into a fight, one person pulled out a gun and fired it into the crowd. The victims were transported to the hospital and are expected to live, police reported. Metro said one was shot in the face, another in the leg, and bullets hit a third person in the chest and face.

Are there controls on the streamer side to filter chat? I ask because I've watched twitch streams of some larger streamers and from my view the chat is just an endless incoherent blur of nonsense. Yet streamers seem to have the ability to catch things and respond to them while also actively doing whatever they are streaming.

There are automod controls on the site so you can block words and terms. I'm not sure if it applies solely to your own chat, or the site overall. I have the Streamlabs Chatbot and it has word filters and more as well.

It varies by stream. Most who attend mine are friends I've made through the site over the last 6 years and we treat each other with enough respect. If we're not discussing the game or whatever is on our mind then they're usually setting off my sound commands.

The person playing is also a big factor in what they allow in the chat. I've been in some that just didn't care and the chats were vulgar.

There are some rather serious and heart warming events. Episodes 25 and 26, Mirror and Ocean Gem for example. The first to get a deep emotional response from characters would be Ep 35, Lion 3: Straight to Video. That's where it really starts to pick up.

A few days before Christmas I was in a Red Apple https://www.redapplestores.com/ when I passed by the dvd bargain bin and spotted this.



My first thought is "Someone made a knockoff or another direct-to-video sequel to the Honey, I Shrunk series?" I later get home and looked the movie up and found 'Help I Shrunk the Family' isn't even the original title. The film is called The Amazing Wiplala, and has the following description "A lonely 9-year-old boy makes a new friend when he discovers a magical little man inside of a cupboard, but when one of the man's spells goes awry, the boy's entire family is shrunk down to four inches in height."

Reading the word cupboard made me think it's a combination of Honey, I Shrunk and The Indian in the Cupboard. Anyway the film is from 2014 and was made in The Netherlands. Here's the trailer.

In 5th or 6th grade I was placed in a group with other troublesome kids. We had meetings in the teacher's lounge, and once in a while I'd have personal time with a counselor. I never knew why I was in there since there was nothing wrong with me. In comparison the other kids I was surrounded by were known to be loud, violent, heavily behind on homework, or disrupting classes. I usually kept to myself and only had about 3 friends in class. At least half of the others hated me for unknown reasons and often taunted and teased me during class. It's what led to me seeking out friends in other grades. Of the 3 friends I mentioned one of them turned on me in Grade 6 and became worse than all the others combined. The teachers were oblivious to how they treated me.

I feel like I could go on for hours about both groups. I recall hearing reports when Fred Phelps was on his death bed that he recounted many things he had said over the years and the WBC excommunicated him before he died. Many members of the group have left or been kicked out. One example is Lauren Drain. Her father went to Kansas to do a documentary against the church in 2000 and wound up getting brainwashed. He moved his family out there and Lauren got caught in the mess at 15. In 2008 she began questioning the group's motives and her father kicked her out himself. Since then she's become a nurse, done modeling, runs a fitness and diet program, and just gave birth to a baby girl 2 weeks ago.

For Scientology just watch Leah Remini's show or the hundreds of videos on Youtube. WBC's quirk is that they'll wait for someone to assault them at their protests then sue you. Scientology hires private investigators to follow you, literally steal your garbage and go through every single bit of personal information they can so they can destroy your life. They try to get you fired. Have members live next to you and spy. The list can go on.

I mentioned how they've almost taken over Clearwater. They own so much property and do nothing with it. Buildings if not entire neighborhoods are owned by them and they're ghost towns. Parks, restaurants, you name it and they have it, and do nothing with them.

They make videos showing all these accomplishments that the church has done and hold huge ceremonies showing them off. Everything is fake, they've done nothing. They even have celebrities among their ranks. Tom Cruise is the most known. John Travolta, Kirstie Alley and so many more. Ever watch The Handmaid's Tale TV show? Elisabeth Moss who plays June/Offred, the lead character, she's a Scientologist, and sees absolutely no connection between her character, and the actions of the church. She's that crazy.

Scientology and it's not even close. WBC has what, two or three dozen members? and they're mostly contained in Kansas. and tbh they're not talked about that much anymore. Sure they still do their idiotic protests and make fun of homosexuals, but many do tend to ignore them now.

Scientology on the other hand has around 40,000 members (although they claim to have millions). They've destroyed so many lives and families. David Miscavige is an absolute lunatic. His wife hasn't been seen or heard from for years. and the church has nearly taken over the entirety of Clearwater, FL on top of so much more nonsense.
