Does anyone have current familiarity with the sit down restaurant industry? I think many have cut their staff significantly since not many people are going out and there's occupancy restrictions. Though there are more To-Go orders being placed, I'd still estimate a lot of the places I go eat at or pick up from are much slower than usual.

How are the current employees still hired on being payed? Are they getting more? I can't imagine a waiter making anything close to what they were making in tips unless the restaurants are paying them more.

You're going to have to do better than an article from variety that convinces me Cannon is officially "cancelled".

If some other white celebrity said what Cannon did about white people, it would be all over CNN, MSDNC and NBC. Cannon's friends would be tweeting out how hateful he is and that they're disavowing him, etc. the whole nine yards.

No (major) mainstream sources are actually covering what he said and it doesn't seem like he got the full "cancellation" treatment like someone else would have.

This seems about right. Once or twice here and there, gone within a few days. But once you start doing it daily, or even weekly or bi-weekly on a regular basis, it's best to say it will remain with you for up to a month.

Nick Cannons career has been dead to everyone born in the 1990s for years now.

He still makes money, and quite a lot of it too, which I've already highlighted in this topic. He still has plenty of affiliations and money sources, believe it or not. I wouldn't be opposed. Hopefully someone will bring it to his attention because I don't think the punishment fits the crime in this case, even though they did multiple things that ultimately landed them in the position they are in. The biggest one being ignoring returning for a year until his bond was fixing to be revoked. That was the first big mistake.

But even with all that, I don't agree with 5 years at all.
