Jesus Christ this character is awful.

The computer will not hesitate and try to give you a seizure with the flashing colors and attacks Lord Zedd dishes out.

No seriously. This character will give you a seizure.

I ALWAYS press the escape button on my keyboard and go back to start - if I see his ugly mug.

It's the only character (except Patrick Star - more on him later) where I press the Esc button and head straight back to the main menu roster.

And yes he's worse than Dora The Explorer.

Master Chief saved the world more times than Duke Nukem. :(

Here's a character that does the exact opposite of The Blue Ranger.

Johnny Cage is OP and will crush anyone - and anything (yes even Thanos) in short succession.

It's no fun to go up against. I ran out my space on my screenpack selection.

I seriously doubt, I'll transfer this character over when the time comes.

The matches would probably be even shorter if this 2 vs 2 instead of 1 vs 1 that I displayed.

Poor Amy Rose. Losing to a Flawless Victory in less than 15 seconds.

Yes. The Blue Ranger lost a fight to Queen Beryl and Meowth that lasted only 4 seconds.

This character was so poorly constructed - it's not even funny.

In fact before Pepe existed - he was my go to punching bag jabroni and served no other purpose.

The creator didn't even make an attempt to give him a character portrait on the loading screen.

If you hover over him at the character select - a picture of him won't even come up.

I don't even want to show gameplay screenshots. It's bad. Don't download it.

This character does absolutely nothing. It's a plush dog of some sort.

I don't even have good YouTube gameplay footage of this.

I only have him in my roster - just to test out the waters for the rest of the characters in Training Mode.

No. Seriously. Pepe won't attack. Doesn't have a special taunt. Doesn't have an Arcade Mode intro.
No sound bytes. No physical X/Z attacks. Doesn't even make a death yell when you kill it.

No matter what difficulty you set for the CPU AI to play as Pepe it doesn't do anything.

It won't attack in Arcade Mode, Watch Mode, no one hit KO suprise.

No method of shielding itself. No intro animation. No way of ducking with bottom arrow key. Nothing.

At least it takes damage - right? Evidenced by the photos. So it's functional and doesn't crash the game.

Last place by default.

Unlike in Super Smash Bros.

There will little to no FAVORITISM in these rankings.

After all? I guarantee you 80% of all of the Mugen characters in the world out there to download blow chunks away.

This will be fun.

Disclaimer before I get started. I liked about maybe 25-30 of these characters and that's it.

Have any of you ever heard of quality over quantity?

Mugen is basically a fighting game - where the roster can be consisted of whatever your heart's desire.

The problem though is that 80% of the characters are garbage and it's not a competitive sport like Super Smash Bros. It doesn't matter if the roster if 20-500 characters big - it's just always going to be like that for your roster.

The last time Super Smash Bros. was relevant to me was back in 2009.

Anywho? This is my roster and the rankings will start shortly and I will be including emphasis because some of these characters have custom sprites, hand drawn sprites, literal punching bags, may only take a few hits to die, etc.

Yeah, there's definitely a grinding aspect to it.

There's this @pixel_dailies account that might RT your work and hold competitions and stuff, might be worth to take a look.

Also perhaps experiment with the presentation of your art. The sprite on white is good for clarity but not too visually exciting.
