It is so pointless it actually pisses me off, that THIS is suppose to mean something.

Black people can wash their own damn feet, they don't need apologies or cops crying about how sorry they were, or group hugs and prayer circles. Here is what we need.

1. Stop killing Black people who are not a threat to you or others
2. Stop pissing your pants thinking everyone with Dark Skin is a threat.
3. Fire cops who kill or brutalize non-violent people.
4. Fire cops who PROTECT cops who kill or brutalize non-violent people.
5. Better training and hiring so the so these tragedies don't happen in the first place.

I consider the protesters one group, and the rioters and looters another group, and I'm pretty disgusted that people view peaceful protest the same as rioting... like seriously I'm disgusted.

People have the right to protest. Just because you don't agree with the reason they are protesting doesn't mean they don't have the right to do it. I didn't agree with the guys out there a few weeks ago protesting about re-opening the country so they could get a hair cut, but I would not support the government tear gassing them.

Peaceful Protest is a corner stone of democracy and anyone who objects to that is not a real American.

But rioting is violence. Looting is theft, they are crimes and they must be stopped. While I get the anger and frustration, all rioting and looting does is abandon the moral high ground.

As an old black person I know a simple fact, if you give racist an inch, they'll take a mile. We are trying to express to America and the world that law enforcement should not police black communities so harshly, after generations of this it is a hard sell, but what makes it 1000 times harder is when Racist can turn on the news and see a ton of black faces burning down their own communities and then they can say "The police would not treat them like animals if they didn't act like animals"

Now I could argue all day and night on how that's an unfair generalization, and I would be right, but why give them the ammunition at all, why allow that to even be a talking point.

I am very disappointed in those who are attacking (both physically and verbally) the peaceful protest. And I am very disappointed in those who are rioting and looting.

Of all the industries begging to re-open Movie theaters should be the last. Lots of people in a crapped space, for hours at a time. Nope nope nope.

They could, but theaters were barely making ends meet when they were able to go at full capacity. That's why they charged 8 dollars for M&Ms.

Like many industries like people who had pre-existing conditions before Covid19 are more likely to die because of Covid19, Movie Theaters are one such industry, they were on their last leg before, and they will likely die out now.

Laziness can be the result of apathy, they are not the same thing. Apathy is a lack of concern. There are countless examples of being Apathetic without being lazy.

I don't know if I could say it's "one of the better", but it's not terrible.

Came to say this!

I was the only person I knew who did not think Avengers 1 was the greatest film in the history of film. It was a good movie, it was not the end all be all of film.

And normally when I debate with fanboys who claimed it was the greatest film ever, their reason why it was the best film ever, is "OMG the wrap around shot with all the Avengers standing there was so cool." And I get that... but the thing is, that wasn't actually cool, it was just a wrap around shot of characters, that's not some amazing special effect.

What makes that shot special was it was a culmination of 4 years worth of hype and build up, a throw away line in Iron Man 1, which lets be honest when they filmed it probably no one really thought it would happen... all of that was actually put on the screen.

I say all of that to say Avengers 1 was less a great movie and more a great event! It showed superhero shared universe franchises are a real thing, and this is awesome that there is pay off to watching all the smaller films.

Avengers 2 as a movie was just a good... but not as exciting as a big event. There was no build up and no pay off, it was just a movie. A decent enough movie, but just a movie.

I personally liked it more than Avengers 1, but that's me.

Just basic human nature, it is harder to focus on something if your eyes gather have to gather all the information and it's coming in two different formats. It's just easier if your ears can carry some of the information gathering weight.

If someone knows they like subs, they should do subs, if they know they like dubs they should do dubs. But if they are not sure they do dubs for ease of access.

Again as someone who works at a college.

It's pretty rare for a school to outright fire someone. If he is adjunct his contract is just for the semester, which is nearly over, it seems like it would just not be worth the time, effort and headache to officially fire him over something this minor, they could let him finish out the semester and not hire him back.

However it is possible they cut a deal with him, they won't fire him, but if he resigns they will pay him out for the rest of the semester.

Just a guess, having worked the admin side of colleges for many years.

As someone who works in a college. Works with students. Has to work from their personal laptop at home and prior to the shutdowns never did a video conference (and now I do one at least 3 times a week if not more)....

I have such a "I feel ya brah" for this guy.

I screen shared once by accident in the early days of the shut down for just a few seconds while were testing stuff out and when done I realized I had a tab open in the background of something not safe for work. Thank God no one noticed, if they did they were polite enough to ignore and not spread it around. But from then on I always make sure if I'm video conferencing all my screens and tabs are "Safe for work" just to be safe.

The students should not have embarrassed him like that, and the school should not have fired him. We're all learning how to properly negative mixing our work life with our home life.

Oh Stacey Dash, in the 90s I had such a crush on her, for the longest time she was my epitome of beauty, Hallie Berry was second.

And even in her 50s she is still super hot, and has barely aged a day.

Having said that, she's pretty bat-shit crazy. She is also not very talented as an actress, which is why her career failed. And besides being a pretty face minority who support the right-wing, I don't know what made her think she had a shot at politics. I am sure in her personal life she is a really nice person, but as a professional I don't see much happening there.

$50 for a video of her? Doing what? If it's not a sex tape I'm not interested. I mean even if it is a sex tape I probably wouldn't buy it for $50, but that's the only thing of hers I might consider buying.

I had to really think about this a wrestled with it, because of the vagueness of the statement.

But the my answer is "all things being equal" the answer is no.

While I don't agree with punishing someone for watching porn, I don't believe that alone makes someone a bad parent. If they are amazing parents in every other way and just handle the issue of porn poorly I would say they are good parents.

The only way I would say they are bad parents is if the punishment was TOO harsh. And any parent who has punishments that are too harsh are default bad parents so the porn isn't what makes them bad parents.

Art is a reflection of society, politics is a major part of how society function, Art and politics are never far apart.
