He was the perfect choice as party leader back then because hes a good negotiator and the SocDems were in disarray after 2 consecutive election losses (2006 and 2010). He united the party and led them to a substantial victory over two term PM Fredrik Reinfeldt (Conservative party leader) in 2014. He then got re-elected narrowly in 2018. My hope was that he would retire during this term because he feels so old and tired but nope, seems like he is now hooked on power and if he is allowed to run again the SocDems will lose for sure in 2022. They include a video of a father not being let in since he doesnt have Swedish citizenship but his wife and their two small kids are let in since they are Swedish.
