definitely Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and California. possibly Washington, and possibly Nevada.

for actual "notes" I usually use pen and paper, unless it's something I plan to keep updated in the long-term. (list of movies to watch for example).

otherwise, I use notepad practically every day, just not for notes. (mostly as a large temporary text box (a place where you can stick text). also useful to sanitize formatting.)

A. (-10) I am certain that the red cube is on top.
A. (-5) I think that the blue cube is on the bottom.
A. (0) I feel that the red cube is most likely on the bottom.
A. (5) I am not sure. This is pretty hard. Maybe the red cube is on the bottom?
A. (10) I cannot follow this at all. How am I supposed to understand this?
ok, seems like the score is really about your stated degree of confidence and has nothing to do with the cubes or rotations or anything in the question.

only with the help of all the comments, I would say that "end over end three times exactly" can only mean 180-degrees x3, which will put red on top (or blue on the bottom).

otherwise, I would probably have guessed that to "continue the rotation" meant in 90-degree increments, but there is no option for red in front of you.

it seems to be intentionally confusing/misleading/ambiguous
