The stakes are peoples livelihoods and being able to not die for he economy in the middle of a pandemic.

We are at the peak of the pandemic in almost every region in this country.

The actual stakes have nothing to do with the election or future/past elections.

My biggest fear for this expansion is that Blizzard has essentially split everyone into 4 factions, all required to reach the same ending.

One of the biggest issues with BFA long term is that the War Campaign was essentially over at the halfway point in the expansion. We all got to Nazjatar and were one big happy family.

This also marked several expansion goals getting dropped. Remember when Blizzard said they wanted to expand on professions and make them more a core of your character with quest lines and stuff? Yeah they tossed that out of the window at this point too. Warfronts? They were neat but poorly executed, also done. Islands? Poorly received they were done. N'zoth came out, we got two daily zones with a meager amount of repeating quests in zones that were 100% rehashed. Blizzard spread themselves thin and the last half of the expansion didn't have the same quality of content.

I fear with Shadowlands that Blizzard has led themselves into the same hole. We have 4 factions that have a storyline already set for the first tier of the expansion, and I'm not sure they have the ability to do 4 of those over the course of the expansion. They are going to have to come up with something new, and history says quality of "new" isn't going to match the initial rollout.

We're going to hit renown 40 this tier, and the system in place isn't really well designed for expansion beyond that even though they are going to try.

I'm going to reiterate that people that have been unemployed(Or furloughed, then unemployed as was the case for many) since the start of the pandemic are at the very edge of unemployment time right now. This bill is going to give them next to nothing.

Those unable to pay rent? You also get nothing. You just get kicked to the curb a couple months later.

Currently employed? Enjoy being able to do even less for your own safety when your employers tells you to fuck covid guidelines for their profits.

Wealthy enough to own a business? Profit.

Megacorporation? Massive profit continues.

People have to understand that people thinking "Defund the police" is a bad slogan does not mean they don't support the underlying policy. The slogan is political poison.

I could not solo wing 3 of the torghast that had the out of combat assassins. They were too punishing. Had a group with pugs in the middle of the night that was bad, but even though they were bad we still finished.

But yeah we saw that delete 50% of HP thing a couple of times.

Also Blizzard has in general gotten real bad at tying in dungeons to storyline. They've basically given up. Spires of Ascension, despite all of us having run it multiple times now, apparently takes place after events unlocked this week in the Kyrian campaign.

Speaking of, I hate the Kyrian. They are evil jerks. But I was forced to go Kyrian because Blizzard failed at balancing covenants even a little bit.

Thats not true. Because to Sony there is value in selling more consoles and keeping their consumer base. If they do something that makes less people want to buy a PS5, the value goes down.

Sony does in fact determine what the console should sell for. It is factually correct.

There is a certain value in their price strategy connected to not pissing off their userbase. If they sell a bunch for $1000 and reduce demand because people think they are a trash company, the consoles long term value will be crap.

Supply/demand would imply they are putting their entire supply of unwanted PS5's up on ebay at once. But they buy them all out and then put up only a portion at a time to maximize profits.

Part of the problem is Shaman has a lot of talents that will fundamentally change when you cast spells. Paladin has some talents that might make you press a different button every now and then, but the fundamentals are always the same. So its easier to align talents that will be useful.

Like, it took me 4 floors to finally see a damage upgrade, and it was to buff Lightning Bolt which is like 14th on my priority of spells I'd like to be casting.

Also I rolled over all the wings of Torghast on my paladin(as Ret) and was confused why everyone was having such a hard time.

Then I went in there on an Ele Shaman.

Every anima power for my Pally was "You want damage? Have damage. Your choice is damage or slightly more damage"

On Ele it was "Do you want to buff this crappy utility, this crappy utility, or maybe occasionally slightly buff this damage spell".

The experiences were not comparable.

Alts seem to be fairly accessible. Thats good. They werent practical at all the last two expacs.

Also on the point of how downsized this expansion is...there were two hub cities last expac, one for the alliance, one for the horde. They were huge. Dazar'alor was basically a whole zone inside of a zone.

Oribos is...the smallest and most empty main city we've ever had. Dalaran had a lot packed into a small size. Oribos is...it is barebones. It has all the necessities of a major city(Minus an AH of course) and nothing else.

The thing about BFA, even with the whistle, flight paths were everywhere. You were never far from a path.

Removing the whistle in BFA would have been fine. We'd have walked longer but it wouldn't have felt like we were skipping seeing everything.

This game, they decided they hated players for using the whistle. So not only did they remove the whistle, they decided we needed about half as many flight paths.

Personally I dont mind the flight time. It gives me more natural opportunities to use the restroom or get something else done while my character is in transit.

Flight time is fine. Its the walking to and from a flight path which is about triple or so the average it would have been in recent expansions.

The amount of stuff to do is fine. The AP system had to go. It was awful. Most grinds right now are cosmetic items, thats how it should be.

Grinding Ve'nari rep is the only thing that feels gated but it goes by real quick once you are familiar with The Maw.
