I've seen a bunch of people do the same. Matpat and his wife from GTLive did the same. They also did the same for Kindergarten 1 & 2. And those can be pretty fun. Though, it can be fin watching some people try to imitate the voices of the characters in the Danganronpa series, as well. Since they have actual voices. In turn, that means streaming VN's is kind of dumb because that's pretty much all the person will be doing, but I can kind of understand it, especially given the sort of hyperactivity youtubers like PewDiePie have led Youtube audiences to expect. I mean, when the whole game is reading stuff, they probably are. Especially when countless people are asking them to play it. It is a VN, after all... And they ask them to play. And still get plenty of likes early on. I'd understand if it was a random game they picked. But it's weird to watch them play a VN, and then skip over things. Even worse is when they are confused later, or don't understand something, but would have if they didn't skip... It just a weird pet peeve, I guess... The same with instructions. They'll skip instructions thinking they'll figure it out, and then lose a bunch because they don't understand how something is played. I've been watching some youtubers play certain games, and it's insane how bad they are sometimes, even when the game explained things well. If it's a substitute that introduces new flavours that work well with the rest of what's in there, though, that's more creative because you're creating something new. That's more like taking a different route for scenic purposes. Sometimes, it does mimic closely. But that's not the only time you can substitute. You can also substitute something to give it a very different taste that also taste good... adjl posted... Oh yeah, there's a ton of really cool stuff that can be done with cakes. Bonus points when it's actually done with cake instead of the 50% fondant/40% rice krispie square/8% plywood/2% cake "cakes" you see so often on crazy decorating shows. Sugar work in particular is really cool and fun as hell to do, and I really wish I could justify buying equipment to do it, but I just don't have any actual reason. Personally, though, making cakes that fancy isn't something I have a particular talent for, nor do I have enough interest to cultivate those skills. A little piping and maybe the occasional fun design, but anything past that just feels like unnecessary delays before I get to eat the cake. Idk everything she does. From the things I've seen, she'll usually bake the cake (or more than one for certain designs. Then puts them to together, cuts off certain areas, and uses sticks to hold certain parts together until it's done. And then takes the sticks out. But I haven't seen her make all of them. It always sounds like such a trivial, gimmicky thing to have the map on a second screen like that, but for really exploration-heavy games, I absolutely loved it. It's one of the main reasons WWHD was such an amazing remake: WW is a very exploration-centric game, but having to pause to check the map (and also the slow sailing where you had to play a song to change directions) made that exploration too much of a chore to be really enjoyable. Being able to access it seamlessly by just glancing at the gamepad made the exploration fun, which completely changed my overall impression of the game. Yeah. I love that I could keep sailing while looking at it. It also helped since I could easily make adjustments when necessary, and knew when I was close to where I wanted to be... While the loss of meat will be sad, I can just try to avoid most of the fake stuff anyway for the most part (Especially if hunting is still legal, which is probably will be).
