Many homes in southern CA are built on slab; they dont have even a crawl space. But there are some homes in CA that have full-fledged basements. I have a joke that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was totally unrealistic because her family home had a basement. Vampires, ghosts, witches, magicthose I can handle.
