My ps4 is usually offline since I'd have to use my mobile hotspot for it. I tried to use the online feature for "garrison" but it didn't work, maybe they took it down. What was the online component even for?

both p3 and p4 were pretty good in that department. It's P5 that's the problem. The "hot one" this time around unironically has twintails? Twin tails though Atlus? All the hairstyles this time around were bizarrely terrible.

P3 FES opening is top 10 of all time, love it. Even after finding out most of the action scenes were from the answer, not the main game.

But yeah I guess they know their fanbase. Anime was pretty big at the time the game came out.

Avatar did start out that way... it wasn't until halfway through season 1 that they got the kinks out and were on their way to being the great show it would end up turning into. For me personally it was Zuko's past episode and what exactly happened that led Aang to the ice

Lol. I remember thinking what a terrible "crossover" that was. More like just a cameo of characters. Boyle was in New Girl, and Jess was in B99 and not at all likable, kinda annoying really.

I was hoping for an actual crossover and a plot involving the characters, and the potential for great riffing between unlikely cast of characters. And also a fun meta joke about damon wayans jr playing a different character in both b99 and ng.

Is the book even really a prequel that sets up the trilogy? I thought the complaint was that the prequel movies desperately tried to set it up so that the events of the hobbit lead to lotr, and like most prequels it was blah.

From what I was told, the hobbit was always a children's book and it was only later that the author conceived of lotr and decided to tie in some elements from the hobbit, namely the protagonist bilbo and the ring being the one ring.

imo, it's weird to think of anyone designing a 3 piece suit for a kid. A child size vest and suit combo. Especially in 1901 when kids were seen as disposable labor and factory workers.

Like most people I dropped the series after brotherhood, and like most people I decided to pick the series back up again after Origins came out (especially after hearing that they finally did Ancient Egypt, one of the top 3 settings fans wished for since the series began)

I definitely don't recommend playing them back to back though... Ezio trilogy is alright even though the 3 games outstay their welcome; 2 of the 3 being in the same setting is hella tedious.

AC 4: Black Flag is one of the surprise hits in how good it was and how self-aware it was, especially since 3 was so bad/underwhelming/disappointing. I basically consider it a better wind waker. It's how sailing the ocean should have felt like. Hunting whales and doing actual piratey stuff was definitely fun.

The follow-up is basically akin to an expansion game, mercifully short because that ridiculous story isn't even so bad it's good. And it's not as fun to sail since it's a bit more icy this time around compared to the caribbean setting of Black Flag.

AC unity is even more disappointing, they wasted the setting of french revolution. It's probably the most disappointing entry imo. The game performance is also super choppy, the first entry in the ps4 gen.

AC syndicate is slightly better in mechanics but hoo boy is it boring. First off london is a super boring setting, and it's like, way too close to modern day, only a hundred or so years.

Then you get to Origins, and wow does it get better. Bayek is easily one of the greatest protagonists of gaming, not just AC series. And the long awaited Ancient Egypt setting is everything one could hope for and more.

I still haven't gotten to playing Odyssey. Probably will sometime next year.

Sauron does take on an elf form in the lore, calling himself Annatar (lord of gifts) and manipulated the smiths of Eregion into making rings while he himself forged the One Ring in secret and also put a secret binding magic into the others.

Celebrimbor doesn't trust him from the jump and ends up making the three Elven Rings in secret. Sauron finds out, attacks Eregion, then captures, tortures, and eventually kills Celebrimbor.

If he can personally make rings himself why he need others to make rings?

Yeah Celebrimbor existed and forged the three Elven rings of power but not the One Ring as in the game. Talion is the one who's a creation of the devs.

I assumed talion was sort of like the "aragorn" that they wanted, a lone ranger hero that everyone looks to.

In the movie they said that sauron forged all the rings and gave them as gifts to dwarves and elves and men.

There wasn't a civil war between celebi and sauron though right. Also shadow of mordor and war show sauron's human form (or I guess elf form?) but we never got to see that in the movie. Not even in the ultimate bluray editions.

I love me some good old exploitation back in the 80's with the horror and comedy genres. Everybody knew what to expect and it never seemed to feel cheap.

But Halle Berry in Swordfish? I saw that and all I could think about was how pathetic and gratuitous it seemed. Like here they are, I moved the book covering them up and now I'll talk for the next few minutes. At least in other movies, actresses are doing something when they're naked.

Maybe she saw how it netted her an Oscar in Monster's Ball so she decided to try her luck again?

The thing with Asami is that it was quite obvious the writers didn't know what to do with her. They even admitted what I think most already knew, that she was originally planned to be a spy type thing to seduce Mako/get close to Korra or whatever and betray them, but the designers liked her so much that they changed that at the last second, and so for most of the seasons they just didn't know what to do with her beyond being in a love triangle with Mako and Korra, aka the worst aspect of Korra that brings down the series.

Then they had her pair up with Korra which I always thought was funny because of how they were initially competing against each other. They tried to develop her in season 4 with her dad in prison at least and have a relationship there which I thought was good but came a little too late. It never made that much sense for her dad to have been in league with Amon and the fact that they redesigned him makes me wonder if that has anything to do with it. He looks a lot more fatherly now, I feel like they designed him off someone but I can't quite put my finger on who.

Oh man I forgot the most hilarious date of all: Valentine's Day!

Apparently if you romance all the girls, they all show up at the same time. I chose to hang out with the guys because I don't like any of the girls one-on-one, and so the next day all the girls show up and they're super pissed and about to murder joker.

I was hysterical at that point, just completely laughing my ass off. It was definitely worth it to see that scene.

If you want a difficulty spike after beating the main game then I suggest moving on to shadows of war, or getting the celebrimbor dlc, that acts as a "hard mode" of sorts

Mighta mentioned it but I already beat the lord of the hunt campaign and the bright lord campaign. I was expecting those to be super short so it wasn't a surprise there, it's just the main campaign that felt absurdly unfinished to me.

If that's what you meant by celebi's dlc, I don't know if it's necessarily harder, both have their ups and downs. You lose the ability to slow down time, but you can literally summon orcs to your side, and drain them, and summon them again. It's like having healing items in your inventory, something the main game didn't have.

And I took advantage of shadow strike stealth a lot more, I had to. It was very fun to be able teleport through a crack in the wall if I had an orc in my reticle. Also there's the fact that I'm literally wielding the one ring so... yeah. You'd think I'd be more powerful, but the boost in strength it gives me is pretty good and charges up fast if I make sure to brand enough orcs.

they filmed the end way back in the shows first season and over the years of development for the characters they no longer fit into the original ending but the writers still tried to fit a square peg into a round hole
