I saw yahoo news is trying to spin the GOP lawmakers thing about them trying to over turn the election.

All of the news stations are going to have to find something else to complain about once he's gone though. I'm glad that Joe Biden is going to completely change this country and make it better.

I was always the cook and always closes, so I got hours. Can't do that any more though, can only close like twice a week now. I'm going to tell them no Sundays also. If they work with me, I will do it. A lot of younger people there from what I saw.

I didn't say supply and demand doesnt affect it, because I've lived in some of the smaller oilfield towns and have seen it. But taxes play a role too. That's was what I meant.

Also, blue states believe in taxing the shit out of people. So are you trying to say supply and demand is the only problem and tax policies don't matter?

Are you seriously suggesting supply and demand don't affect price?

They do if people want their own house / apartment. The owners see that and jack up the prices. But if they have relatives here and live with them, it doesn't effect it as much. Taxes affect cost of living more than anything.

Everybody wantes to live there, therefore it got really expensive to live there, and now people who can't afford to stay there must go elsewhere.

Lots of people moving to an area won't drive up the price though. There has to be some change in some sort of policy.

California has high taxes because that doesn't deter people from all the advantages it has to offer. They are moving to Texas to turn the state blue because they hate you.

Texas is cheap. Thats the only reason.

Also, people arent only moving to Texas. People are moving to places where its cheaper. Also, california is expensive because the tech industries attract a lot of big salary jobs. Which means move expensive housing and lifestyles. Which means more profits. Which means price increases.

Texas is cheap because we vote for lower Taxes / non public health care type laws

California is expensive because it has great weather, great beaches, incredible scenery and everybody wants to live there which naturally drives up expenses.

And higher taxes, which is why they were considering dividing it into 3 areas at one point. If everybody wants to live there, why are they all moving to Texas?

So now they got what they wanted and Biden is president. So I don't want to hear any complaining or I will talk all kinds of shit to them. Funny how yahoo news disabled their comments shortly before the election.
