I actually love a lot of Zack Snyder movies, but Sucker Punch, BvS, and JL were pretty disappointing. I have zero problems with the darkness of his movies or whatever, there's just some poorly written/boring junk.

I haven't played anything by these devs but got both 999 and AI over the holidays (as well as Last Window, the DS really was the console for VNs lol), excited to see how they measure up to the hype! 999 was a board rec and I thoroughly enjoyed Ghost Trick (and obv Ace Attorney) so fingers crossed.

To be fair, the DS version of 999 kinda sucks compared to the other versions.

The Au Ra mostly star in Stormblood. You will be very happy you became an Au Ra once you meet them there.

Also, I advise you not to do leveling duties for your highest level class (the one you do the main story with). You get more than enough XP from the main story to max your level.

I think some of those dungeons are required for other side quests, so you end up doing them for that reason.

Azim Steppe alone is better than ARR's story in my opinion. But you are entitled to your opinion as much as I disagree.

(That said, ARR isn't BAD, it's just not as good as the Expansions imo)

That doesn't really disagree with what I said. Azim Steppe is better than anything in ARR, and several other parts are worse than anything in ARR.

Ultima would be my non-Uematsu pick, though I could pick one of the mobile game tracks too. Type 0 (the song) is really good in its best parts, though it's a little uneven.

Not entirely sure which FFX songs were Uematsu and which weren't. Sunleth Waterscape probably a safe choice here. Apocalypsis Noctis a good alternate.

Yeah that's how I feel. The best parts of Stormblood are better, but the worst parts are worse. I quite liked some parts of ARR's story too. Cid's real great.

Believe me when I say that compared to the expansion stories, ARR's story is very mediocre. They only only better and better.

In Japan, it's brother on PS3 and father on 360. In the US it was father on both PS3 and 360. Not sure if they gave an interview about it, but I'm pretty sure it was a "for Americans" thing.

2.8 is the only one I'd really say is overpriced. The others are about what you'd expect for next gen ports, and they aren't even out of line with MSRP on PS4 (where a bunch of them are still full price). Square likes to sell their games at high prices and then have big discounts during sales.

Oh, I meant specifically in terms of carrying it across from game to game. Wasn't really clear there. ME has some great romances, like with Tali and Garrus, and some amazing alternate stuff like Tali and Garrus hooking up which felt real good.

One more reason having a selectable love interest instead of a story-mandated one was a bad idea! Bioware didn't do it particularly well with Mass Effect either, but at least they didn't totally crap the bed on it like Falcom.

I don't think YNA is that simple though! It changes things up a decent amount and is short enough that it doesn't get old, plus it switches between a large number of different instruments. There are plenty of simpler beloved FF songs!

13's definitely more well-regarded than 12! Haven't seen many 12 OST fans. Otherwise I'd say you got the top 10 most liked down pat.

6-9 are all among my favorite soundtracks ever. 9 probably the best overall?

You're Not Alone! also my favorite FF (and video game) song overall, so that can be my pick for the daily song, if that's what it means.

Personally I thought 3 had a much better story than K1, which was enough to make it better than K1 despite the more archaic gameplay. I actually liked 3 more than K2, even! Was not a fan of the villains in the first few games...
