As with every potential publisher, the initial reaction is mixed. Some people on the Discord said they're scums of the earth due to how they handled Indivisible and Bloodstained. I didn't follow either game, so...thoughts?

They've published some games I've liked, but I don't think I have any strong feelings towards them. It'll most likely be fine.

Biggest thing with 505 Games is both Bloodstained and Indivisible had absolute dumpster fire launches on Switch. But if I recall, Eiyuden wasn't going to launch on Switch anyway, right? Should be fine, then.

I think Eiyuden's the one where they said they'd put it on Switch 2?

The official stance is if Nintendo introduces a new console before 2022, they'll release the game there. If not, they'll try to port it to Switch, if possible (so no promises).

The issue with 505 is their marketing/promotion can be pretty hit or miss. I know Lab Zero wasn't happy with how Indivisible was promoted in the months leading up to launch.

IIRC from the Kickstarter campaign they went out of their way to make it clear that they are trying avoid the pitfall of overextending to more platforms than they can handle. Reality doesn't always match the ideal but it does seem like they want to make sure that each version is done right.

I saw this earlier. I'm not particularly excited nor disappointed with this choice. 505 games isn't exactly a company I've paid that much attention to.
