I voted for a mile, but it's more dependent on circumstances than distance. The area I live isn't all that friendly to pedestrians, so where I consider walkable is very limited. But I have lived elsewhere and voluntarily taken longer walks to get places. I like walking, just needs to be the right environment.

There are a ton of artifacts I want to go after, and neither the resin nor the patience nor the fodder to make progress very quickly. I'm at least okay on the Maiden's Beloved + Viridescent sets. I could do better with Thunderfury, but I have some okay pieces. But the remaining domains are all kind of a pain. I've done the Petra/Bolide a few times, but it's not easy, and I've never done Crimson Witch successfully, so Diluc is still running around with Gladiator's. Noblesse Oblige seems like the lowest priority, so that at least I'm not that concerned about.

But I also need to collect a ton of ascension materials in preparation for AR50, so it's slow going. I have around 30 fragile resin that I could burn through, but there's where the lack of patience comes in.

It feels like, in the long run, I'd want at least two characters of the main four elements at a good state so I can balance them between two Abyss teams, plus some useful generalists like Venti or Traveler to fill out the roster. That's a lot of characters to keep up with though. And until I rolled Mona recently, Barbara was my only hydro character, and she doesn't do anything but heal, so she barely counts. I don't really get how people end up with solid teams in the end.

It took me around 10 times because I kept pressing space at the wrong time and/or not having the ascend off cooldown when it needed to be. Keeping the right height is not that easy, I always end up too high, dropping too much while trying to compensate, and having to ascend to recover.

It's not perfect, but ATK main and substat is good, you should probably max it out.

EDIT: Also, Gladiator's Longing is the wrong artifact type to have pyro damage on it, I believe.

Zhongli scales off of HP in part, through his shield, but it's probably not worth going crazy for.

I think you're supposed to go hardest on his energy recharge, since his burst is quite strong and well worth spamming. Geo damage too, of course.

Anyone else reckoning with TMCS or when to start their prep for 50?

Yeah, I'm also recently at 47, but my rolls on the latest banner have left me unsure. Previously, I had Diluc, Xiangling, and Fischl at 80, Traveler at 70, and Barbara, Bennett, Venti, and Kaeya at 60. But now I have Zhongli, Mona, Razor, and Chongyun as all interesting options. Chongyun and Kaeya do pretty similar things, so maybe I can stick with Kaeya, but Chongyun does have max constellation. Razor being an electro DPS is something I could use. Mona is only my second water character after Barbara, and has a lot more potential. And Zhongli is not only very cool, but I do want to try the Geo Traveler memes. And that's ignoring that when I hit AR50 there will be the option to go to 90, even though I'm very lacking in gemstones to do that even for Diluc.

I still have a good amount of EXP leftover, but I'm reluctant to use it.

I was spooked on my first 5 star, but it was Mona, so that's already great. I had the rolls to continue and got Zhongli as well though. I could probably throw another 30 rolls at the banner but I'm not sure if I will or not.

With this week's reputation missions I finally got the Mondstadt treasure locator, so that should encourage some more exploring, though very marginally so.

Meanwhile I'm actually fighting the geo boss now; I had only fought him a single time before. But Zhongli needs mats.

Can we go back to this and explain how exactly? Because I'm losing my mind. The mages have huge amounts of health, I can't combo them with Diluc for long because one of them will hit me or the arena will start nuking my health, and they like to do their super move a lot too, which is just annoying and makes me run around a bunch wasting time.

It's exactly the same as the rewards from two runs combined. You are paying 1 crystal core and 100 mora to save time, which is a great deal.

I really don't like the enemies that will sit outside the area to attack you, which the hilichurl meteors will do constantly. I would be fine if it was just an impassable wall.

There's apparently going to be a patch to make the 1.1 story fight in the Golden House easier. Were people really complaining that much about it? It didn't seem that bad to me.

I still have a hard time on the wolf. Stormterror is really easy. I've only done the new boss once so far, of course, but he also seems fairly easy, since you can get some good combos on him. We'll see how I fare when I hit AR45 though.

I'm not sure if this is still the case, but Sherlock Holmes has been in a weird place when it comes to copyright law for a while. Some stories are considered not in public domain, and the argument has been made that some aspects of his character are protected by copyright even though using the character is not. Some caution is maybe wise.

I know they nerfed the increased elemental reaction (burning) damage, but I wonder if they intend to do anything about the self-overloading that keeps happening. I used to use Diluc and/or Xiangling against the electro Fatui, but it's hard nowadays. I believe it's because I'm setting grass on fire, which is interacting with the electro guy to cause overload to me, and it's all very obnoxious.

Not free exactly, you can buy her in the shop for the next event. Supposed to start Monday. You use resin for event battles to get shop currency, which you spend on various things. That's all I know.

It's been a while, what was the draft format like again?

There were some aggressive decks, but they were often powered by Renegade Freighter, which isn't in Kaladesh Remastered. Untethered Express is still around, but the format might be a bit slower. Format speed could vary, but midrange was just fine. I remember green being excellent.

Made some good progress doing the main story and reputation stuff today. New boss fight seemed cool but I kind of button mashed my way through and missed some things; not sure this will work for the refights. I did run through a big chunk of the 1.1 content immediately, but there's a new event next week, so that should occupy me some. Also looking forward to the banner rotation.
