tcaz2 01/18/21 4:45:59 PM #49 | It being of similar quality to Undertale's bullet hell elements is a pretty good comparison. It doesn't get to some of the more creative elements like Undertale does with it but in terms of executing the base system its pretty close. It's not something I'd play a whole ton of afterward but it was good enough to keep me engaged the whole time through. |

tcaz2 01/12/21 8:04:05 PM #28 | I played it recently as well and basically marathoned the whole thing in 4 days I was so absorbed in it. Definitely GOTY 2020. |

tcaz2 12/26/20 6:28:29 PM #3 | It's a sequel. But its also really bad so far so I wouldn't worry about it. |

It has some good moments Yeah it definitely does Its really just a shame it completely shit the bed in a few key areas that were really important important areas. The actual character and situation writing is fairly strong overall. It's just the overarching stuff that was a let down, which unfortunately is what most people were largely there for (for good reason). It's still worth playing. |

tcaz2 12/25/20 2:04:41 PM #4 | AI is a separate game made by the same people. Zero Escape is 3 games with the first 2 bundled as The Nonary Games. AI is also good, but not connected to Zero Escape. |

tcaz2 12/22/20 5:04:26 PM #178 | Well pretty much expected that next year is gonna be an off year for Cosmere stuff, kinda sad. I don't really have much interest in Sanderson's YA stuff. Maybe when its done. Oh well, maybe I'll finally start some other series like Malazan or Realm of the Elderlings, both of which have been recommended to me several times (I've read Wheel of Time and ASoIaF) |

tcaz2 12/14/20 7:44:27 PM #146 | I also think Oathbringer's pacing was pretty bad. In fact, I thought it was worse the 2nd time through in my recent reread. It made up for it in other areas, though. And I actually think that a big part of the reason the pacing felt like it dragged to me in RoW is exactly the reason of what you said makes it good to you |
Topic | Stormlight Archive: Rhythm of War has arrived! |
tcaz2 12/14/20 8:41:23 AM #143 | Finished the book this morning. Overall I still think it was the weakest book due to some weird pacing and the overall theme not being as strong as the others, but it still held its own and had a lot of memorable and good moments. I don't think it comes as any surprise or even spoiler I thought the ending was pretty great, it's a Sanderson book after all. I think having just reread them I'd rank the books 2 > 3 > 1 > 4, but there's not really a big quality gap between any of them. |

tcaz2 12/14/20 8:25:11 AM #24 | banananor posted... ... because ketchup is mostly sugar and mold/ bacteria will absolutely grow on it?...You... realize sugar is a preservative right? It actively inhibits bacteria growth. It WILL eventually spoil, yes, but ketchup is shelf stable for nearly a year with little degradation. Again, well past what the average person would be expected to keep a bottle for. |
Topic | "refrigerate after opening" - do you always wait until it's opened? |
tcaz2 12/13/20 10:30:27 PM #21 | wtf who likes cold ketchup Why would you ever refrigerate ketchup unless one bottle lasts you like a year or you buy literal crates of it at a time |
Topic | Stormlight Archive: Rhythm of War has arrived! |
tcaz2 12/13/20 12:37:33 AM #138 | Shallan - I do think I'm probably going to end up putting RoW at the bottom of my list of the books honestly, but its mostly because of pacing issues and the overall main plot themes not being all that strong compared to the others, and not repetition, which I haven't felt at all. |
Topic | Stormlight Archive: Rhythm of War has arrived! |
tcaz2 12/12/20 11:31:35 PM #133 | Yeah I can't say I agree with Cly's opinion on part 3 at all. Also I don't know how you could possibly think I finished part 4 so I'm getting pretty close to done. |

I like how he went into the situation noting the typical "it's actually not realistic that one guy can kill more than couple guys alone" thing so his goal is only to delay until backup arrives... and then he just kills everyone anyways Anyway I finished Part 2 and oh man, the last 5-6 chapters of that had me glued. Can't wait to get back to reading more. Also I'd be very disappointed if |

tcaz2 12/03/20 10:58:18 PM #149 | So, FF14's Stormblood expansion had a raid themed around prior FF games where you were fighting simulations of 'ancient evils'. It had you fighting bosses from FF1, 5, and 6, specifically. FF5's 4 bosses had a few bosses from the Void, and ended with Exdeath himself. In the hardest version of the fight, they include a phase transition to Neo Exdeath (easier versions stop after the first form), which IMO is one of the coolest bits of animation they've done in the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCA1PDJid10 |

tcaz2 11/26/20 9:33:12 PM #18 | There is almost no food that you don't have to season. Also never put stuffing in turkey. Always make it separate. If you want the turkey juices in it pour some of the drippings in after you cook the turkey. Otherwise you are risking illness. And again, it should be spatchcocked anyway so you shouldn't have anything to put it in in the first place. |
