Do these exclude ones you haven't played or something? No TLoU seems like a weird omission from even HMs, especially since Uncharted 3 made the poll.

(And to a much lesser extent, MGS4.)

The Last of Us had a great multiplayer and an okay campaign. That averages out to being a borderline good game. It wasn't considered.

As for MGS4, think of it as the top honorable mentions of being named an honorable mention. I thought very highly of it when I played it a decade ago, but time has changed that some.

I forgot to mention this but I did end up going back and wrapping up the remaining gem cups and relic races so I could take down the final boss one last time. I have been going back to it daily to try out courses, crystal challenges, and battle modes not offered in adventure mode. However, the main reason is because I can only unlock stuff from the Pit Stop, and I have to come back every day in hopes that the characters I want will be available.

I have already purchased Spyro, Hasty, Yaya, Isabella, and Ami.

I still hope to purchase Hunter, Rilla Roo, Koala Kong, N. Brio, Ebenezer Von Clutch, Pasadena O'Possum, Liz, Megumi, and Tawna. I have nearly enough to purchase all of them after racking up a bunch of coins playing online on Sunday.

Hope is easily the least deserving winner as it is the epitome of a nothing song. It doesn't do anything, attempt to go anyway, or stand out in any way. I'm 100% positive it only won matches because of whatever contextual value it has because this was during the period where B8 was obsessed with Umineko, and I was seemingly the only person in the VGM scene who didn't read it.

I spent a ton of time racing online today in CTR. I never won a race nor did I come in last. Most of the races were on courses that I have never played, so routinely finishing in 3rd or 4th seems pretty good.

In Adventure Mode, I am in the fourth world pretty early on. I fully complete a world before moving onto the next, so I probably won't beat the game for another day or two.

So I began CTR Nitro, and I already regret my first decision. I knew going in that there was not a friendly way of unlocking content, but I was surprised at the extent of it. Anyway, I saw that there were character skins that I was interested in that required me to basically get all the relics and CTR coins and other stuff. I saw that the only way that I could change characters during adventure mode was to play the Nitro rule set, which locks you into a single difficulty.

I consider myself to be great at racing games (I would hope so given they are my favorite genre), but I know that kart racers in particular have a poor history at incorporating fair elements in terms of difficulty. Coupled with the aforementioned unlock requirements, I decided to try easy, and my god is easy a total pushover.

I am almost done with the second area, and I think there was one race where I was not in first outside of the opening seconds of the race, and I am pretty sure it was because I was going out of my way for a CTR letter. All but one or two of the relic races have resulted in me finishing at least 10 seconds under the time limit.

Luckily, the game isn't long enough to where I can easily start a hard playthrough later on, or now even, but I think that I am just going to commit to this easy playthrough.

I will say that I am not good at touching these golden eggs. Like I haven't been able to reach any of them.

What is Game of the Month Club?
Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck)

The Basics
- Each month will usually feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so

Yeah, I intend to not put (enhanced) ports in these polls. However, I wasn't sure if the NES remix games came out side-by-side on 3DS/Wii U or they were originally on 3DS and ported to Wii U. Unfortunately, I needed a 10th poll option and really didn't want to put in Game & Wario or New Super Mario Bros U, so I just put in the Remix Pack without doing additional research.
