I never quite understood the attitude expressed in #3, though it's not quite as common as, say, 10 years ago. It seems kind of performative. Like what does it really mean, 'taking CE too seriously'? Is it that it's seen as a more impersonal social situation than an IRL one, and so a lesser one? And treating it as you would treat an IRL one, or treating people here as you would treat people you meet implies some deficiency preventing you from doing the same off CE?

I don't buy into hype until a day or 2 before release, and despite the bugs I've plugged in 45 hours on the PS4 version and loving it. I do wish they delayed the game to fix the bugs and the prologue, but I'm still having fun.

I used to binge drink and get blackout drunk all the time. Ended up making mistakes and pissed enough people off to reexamine my behavior.

I still drink I just pace myself/only drink what I'm comfortable with. Smoking also helps, I'd pick a functional crossfade over sloppy drunk any day
