Did they need a big, in-your-face, acknowledgement-required epilepsy warning? Yes. They're adding that in now. Did they fuck up by not having it in the first place still? Absolutely.

Flashing and flickering are par for the course for just about any digital visual media, however. You would expect that to be ramped up in a neon-soaked, dystopian cyberpunk setting.

I guess the point I'm driving at is that the flashing itself isn't what people need to be worked up over. The deserved criticism for CDPR is in the lack of a proper warning.

If I'm coming across as "defend[ing] actively harming other gamers", then let me know how and where. That's not what I'm trying to communicate.
