I don't think this trailer is enough to draw a negative conclusion from. the negative conclusion comes from the fact that there's essentially nothing to draw a conclusion from. atlus having essentially nothing to show (or deciding to show nothing) except models after how many years? and coupled with atlus' recent history of (imo) quite bad game design decisions, i am less than optimistic. SMT isn't exactly a franchise that benefits from some sort of super secret marketing campaign with no actual details revealed. but i'm also generally a pessimistic shit so who cares. --- [various robot sounds] |

| pxlated 07/20/20 1:02:50 PM #24 | to expand my thoughts a little bit more: it seems like a really bad sign that, after all this time, that's all they have to show us. a trailer that shows next to nothing that we hadn't already seen. that reads as a very bad sign. also the fact that like, the trailer is clearly trying to be moody and atmospheric but just comes off as dull and uninteresting. this is also a bad sign! not that the same person/people that cut the trailer worked on the game but if you can't get the tone down for a minute long trailer...oof --- [various robot sounds] |
