Which makes me think, the best idea is to just make it a sequel but treat it as an expanded re-release. Kinda similar to what PSO2 is doing. Bring back the world and characters, revamp it a bit, polish the gameplay and add more options+QoL changes, and just put in a new, more involved story that takes place after the original. They could even add new continents and areas.

I actually heard that the Persona one is actually more like a Persona game, it just has Warriors gameplay instead of turn-based battles. So that's kinda interesting. Usually crossover Warriors games are literally straight up just a Warriors game with a familiar coat of paint slapped onto it.

Well, I'm probably the only person in this topic who's looking forward to it. I unironically really enjoy Warriors games but can admit that its repetition becomes apparent really fast. The games are more meant to be played in spurts.

Way too many people put XC1 on a pedestal, unfortunately. I'm a huge fan of the series (every game so far I've loved), don't get me wrong, but XC1 is not perfect and is probably the most vanilla and basic one of them all. XC2 actually has better, more developed characters, IMO. They may be defined by their cliches (Rex's naivety, Tora's pervertedness, Zeke's unluckiness) but there's so much more to them and they interact with each other so much better than in XC1. The world is also far more fleshed out in 2. Some people who analyze these stories even compare the world's history with how Xenogears handled its world.

That said, 2 also has a lot of flaws that may break the experience for some. The voice acting isn't as good as in 1 which kinda ruins some impactful scenes at times (mostly a case of not knowing what the scenes look like and reviewing them before making their performance, a privelege the VAs for XC1 had), the gameplay starts off slow and takes forever to actually get really interesting (but being fair I think the gameplay gets better than XC1 when it does), areas are more compact-designed but exploration is hampered by field skill checks that would've been interesting to implement, but are tied to...a gacha system. That's probably the big issue right there. It doesn't use real money, but RNG can screw you over on a lot of side content because of it. It never prevents you from progressing the story though.

Yeah, I feel like, on your first playthrough, there's not really a "right" way to play the game. So you didn't do anything wrong.

But the Pacifist and Genocide routes (which, btw, you can't do the Pacifist route truly until you've beaten the game once) completely change the game and you get an entirely new final boss and ending for each. I'd say it's worth replaying just for the vastly different experiences, and the game even keeps track of every single thing you do in every single playthrough, leading to a ton of different pieces of dialogue.

But that said, only if you're feeling up to it. I don't want to force you onto it. The worst thing about the fanbase when the game came out is that they kept telling people to play a certain way when the game is all about the choices you yourself make.

I've heard Star Fox Zero is actually good when emulated because you can map the gyro controls to the right analog stick which makes it play like a traditional Star Fox title.

There's also the issue of the second screen stuff. All-Range Mode encounters would need to be given a radar (currently it doesn't have one) and All-Range bosses tend to be designed around the free aiming independent of the ship moving, considering that locking on to them puts it into a cinematic camera view that makes it hard to control the ship.

The Switch version of it, but yes.

They've been doing this with most of the WiiU ports. Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker on the Switch actually got a DLC expansion some time after its release.

Yeah, all the notable games got mentioned. There's also Nintendo Land, but I feel any game that heavily uses the GamePad is not going to be considered. So Star Fox Zero's out of the question. I'd rather them spend money on a sequel to Zero than wasting time on a port re-doing everything to fit a classic control scheme.

There's a theory that all the other Mario characters got turned into cats somehow, which is why Mario's the only one seen playable. (Also explains the cats surrounding him in that picture, they all have the colors of the player characters in 3D World.)

Anyway, this was badass. I kinda expected a large open world (that's what the initial trailer gave me vibes of) but what exactly this mode is looks badass. Funny thing, this new Bowser form is called God Slayer Bowser in Japan.

I'm thinking of doing these kinds of topics whenever I start a Let's Play of something. I actually did something similar with Doki Doki Literature Club way back. So this time I'm doing a little game called Tiny Bunny. It's an indie horror visual novel with an interesting art style. Seems to be set in the snowy forests of Russia. Unfortunately this is episodic and only Episode 1 is out now, but it's free on Steam! Apparently Episode 2 is coming out soon-ish so I'm looking forward to that.

So basically, this Aerith is the OG. She knows there's something off and knows more than she should because the planet is speaking to her. She doesn't fully know everything and may even be fed lies at some points (suggesting the Whispers are spirits of the dead crying out in pain, when that's not true). The reason why the Whispers appeared is because Sephiroth, in all his tomfoolery within the Lifestream, is appearing in the past and disrupting the natural flow of events to try to create a future where his plan is successful (presumably).
