I went into sensory overload just the other day though. I could hear every word that was spoken in the room and a very loud sine wave tone that was going around my head.

Oh lord that's just the worst.

With talking my brain just kinda starts shutting down eventually (not like literally just processing words and thinking) but with other sounds it just won't do that. So when I'm trying to sleep and start hearing every little sound in the house it's truly a nightmare. :/

Honestly this was most of the people wearing masks at the closest WalMart even before they became mandatory there. And now? Yep still most of the people wearing masks.

At least now it's because they have to wear it to go in. Like I don't agree with pulling it down or that 'logic' but it boggles my mind why they'd wear a mask to do that (or pull it all the way down, there's that too) when it wasn't required to wear one. And only about half the people in there were wearing one.

Do they? I used to be very active on PotD, but up until a couple months ago I hadn't been here for years. I haven't seen it used here since I've been back. And I've never seen it used in the various other forums and groups I'm a part of across the Internet. Though, there is a larger presence of women in those communities, so perhaps dumb, misogynistic phrases like "white knighting" naturally get less traction there.

The difference is that the former came out, and the latter two are still in development. Hence, there is no need to supplant the PS3 and X360 boards, yet.

While I agree about them not being out, why would the Wii U board get that treatment and not those ones since the PS4 and XBone are out? Now I'm confused about that.

My guess is that the Wii U is generally considered a flop, but tbf 360 and PS3 haven't been current gen for a while now. So feels like uneven treatment?

Listed as available. Went to order, available for pick up only. Went to the town over (closest GameStop) to be told that they don't have the item and probably will never again have the item. Clerk ignored the fact it was on the website, and kinda in general was really dismissive. (Not meaning this in a they owe us Karen sort of way, I mean it in a throughout the interaction it was completely glossed over and I suspect it's going to be left up to get people to come in since it even had an amount stocked listed so most won't call to confirm sort of way.)

Only other time was after an unpleasant encounter in the one in the mall where the guy I guess was trying to push the idea of pre-ordering to a condensing extreme. When we talked to the people in the one we usually go to they were very adamant that nothing about the information he gave us was correct. That time went fine.

They actually touch on a lot of things as it goes on like accountability, toxic relationships, existence, self sacrifice and the effect it has on those around you (this whole sub plot actually really freaking got to me it so sad), bad parenting (both willful and completely unintentional) off the top of my head.

It's not for everyone, and there definitely is juvenile humor. But personally I'd hesitate to shove it in the for very young kids corner.

A flu shot requires nearly no effort on your part and reduces likelihood of contracting the flu, reduces the severity of the flu if you do get it, and will reduce the likelihood of spreading it to others.

Flu already results in hospitalizations every fall and winter; let's not overwhelm hospitals with both flu and COVID, ok?

It's not a priority for the people in my house that have the resources. Just like a replacement ID and social security card aren't.

I'm disabled, so I end up having to rely on those around me to consider something a priority. This has never been considered one. It actually requires a lot more than effort on my part.

That was me until my mid twenties. Then my metabolism slowed.

Unfortunately I'm 35 and aside from a bit of a slow for like a year (and that was basically the last year of being homeless) afterwards it's decided to go double time it seems like.

The only time my metabolism has been even half reasonable is when I was homeless.

I think most people have a specific image that comes to mind when cancer is mentioned. So to find out someone who didn't fit that image had it is probably additional shock.

Like (personal spoiler) my own mom got cancer and it was a lot more similar to what one might imagine too. She slept a lot and generally felt completely like crap, understandably so! I'll admit I was surprised to find out he had been sick myself, because it hasn't occurred to me either that, despite hearing stories about people hiding it, that it was something someone could hide like that.

My spouse just said something about this, and then I saw this post.
