I see/hear the opinion being voiced from time to time. This belief that dating as a gay man is like having a bro you also happen to have sex with. And that gay men care less about physical traits than straight women. Which is very wrong on average. Gay men are probably even more specific in what they want than straight women to be honest. There is a reason why body issues are more common with gay men than straight men.

And dating a guy is generally very different from hanging out with your mates. The dynamics are different when romance enters the picture. A gay guy who can be really confident and chill can have high expectations to feel protected by their boyfriend for example.

Slept in my car for several months last year when i got out of jail. Didnt wana live at home so i figured i take a shot at being homeless. Wasnt that bad at all but tbf lots of homeless people dont have their own vehicle and that helped me a lot. I love my car. And i stayed at this girls house often so that was fun.

I like tight spaces so sleeping in the backseat was fine. Used to sleep on the floor under my bed. But anyways, once winter rolled around i had saved enough for a studio. Sleeping in your car in summer/fall is urban camping, in the winter its terrible . and between jobs i would also take a nap in the ride.

The things you don't like from big government are products of left and right wing authoritarianism. The things that lead to fascist states. Those are not present in social democracies. Police aren't brutalizing protestors, they aren't rigging votes, they aren't doing mass imprisonment in Nordic countries. The US and the so called "socialist" countries like Soviet Union, PRC, North Korea, etc. All have mass imprisonment (the US has the most in the world by number and percentage), police brutality, and voter manipulation (admittedly in the US it is much more fair, but it is not at all a representative system thanks to gerrymandering and various hopes put in place to make voting harder and prevent 3rd parties from competing).

It's weird people feel like they have to pick a shitty regime and defend it though. Have you ever considered just not defending countries that do bad things (or at least when they do bad things)? Especially if you don't even live there.

I explained it multiple times in this topic. Social democracy advocates for a strong welfare state in a capitalist society. It doesn't advocate for elimination of private property or ownership or shifting means of production to the workers. It simply advocates for a strong welfare state. Many social democratic countries have freer economies than the US even when ranked by conservative institutes.
