Great, quotable dialogues too. A fun movie but with some weight to it. Also now I know how to pronounce 'Bruges'. Jenova Dreamweaver turned out to be a hooded Organization XIII member and Sephiroth, who might or might not be real, carried him away somewhere. Barret is alive, apparently he's saved by fate. And by fate they meant "the game only allows three party members at a time so Sqeenix writers had to find a way to put Barret out of commission". --- Into the woods, but mind the past... Fun fact the Swordipede (yes that's the real name) was a regular random battle enemy in the original FF7.Huh, it got a promotion, good for it. Aaand we're finally at the final elevator. Aerith warns us that we can't turn back after this for sure. So if we want to go back, this maybe are last chance. ...yeah, there's just debris and dead animals there, nothing worth coming back to. | Raka_Putra 01/13/21 6:35:48 PM #1 | Finally, after spending hundreds of hours in two weeks with Hades, I have the whim to finish FF7R - which will be only my third FF game I finish after FF6 and FF10. Story recap: After the shitheads at Shinra yeeted a whole plate (not the dining set kind) onto the Sector 7 undercity slums, Aerith agreed to be taken to Shinra Tower to save Marlene. So we went to save her. Of course, what awaits in Midgar's most notorious megacompany was thousands of elite security guards ambushing AVALANCHE, ready to kill on sigh-- haha just kidding it's a museum tour. So after we sat through hours of holographic nonsense (did they not do a final check on what the department heads are saying? most of them basically said 'bugger off') and climbed 50+ flights of stairs, we finally got to Hojo's lab, where they had imprisoned Aerith to use as a lab rat. Hojo released a big dude he stole from Umbrella Corp. and Aerith showed us her childhood home with a cute drawing on the wall, aww. She vandalized Shinra facility even when she was a wee lass, truly a rebel at heart. Then Wedge called us with the help of mayor Pizza Hut (or is it Domino? One or the other) and said we gotta get to the top to get extracted by AVALANCHE chopper the HQ sent for us. Well, that's not happening anytime soon because we somehow (I honestly forgot how) got kicked to the depths of Shinra Tower, where they had all these labs full of biological monstrosity. And the worst of all is an OC named Red XIII who apparently shared the same voice actor with Cloud since they sound really similar to me. And now we're making our way up again, mercy killing Shinra's secret life of pets all the while. The party is split up, with Tifa and Aerith on one side and Barret and Cloud on the other. ...I gotta say the boys' parts are much easier. So yeah that's where we're at. I'm currently playing Cloud and Barret's part, we should be near the end since I'm already at, like, the fourth warehouse/cage/mini-boss lair. --- Into the woods, but mind the past...
