You said 'his/him' so I'll assume a boy cat... an automated laser turret (yes, they're real) can be good fun for more energetic cats, but a tall perch - something you can put behind or next to a cat tree - is also good.

Well, bad news and neutral news...

The neutral news is my cute little 17 year old yorkie... is still sick and at risk;

the bad news... my brothers 2 year old Great Dane just randomly died in his sleep!

...

While I'm not impacted by this since it's akin to a neighbours pet dying, the random suddenness is just shocking and for my parents and youngest brother they are effectively handling the death of 2 doggies...

So I'm sad by proxy :l

I wish there was a bit more variety around here... the lake just has geese, seagulls, pelicans, ducks, coots and pipers. There's sparrows and red-winged blackbirds in the trees - there's ONE bright yellow bird that I haven't gotten a picture of yet... I know kinda where its nest is.

As for bugs; there's blue damselflies, red/orange dragonflies and blue giant dragonflies. Lots of miscellaneous simple moths... not much else.

For critters there's a couple rabbits, I've seen one squirrel and the lake does have a few muskrats.

...I think that's everything.

Photography, I'm finding, is like the best hobby for someone with SPD (or other schizotypial disorders) since not only are you focusing on a singular goal, but everyone else can see your camera and intentionally not disturb you... and if you are taking pictures of people, they're not "people" they're just objects to make look as best as possible.
